I have used this product for years and have purchased elsewhere, both in stores and online. I love the value here and it is still the same great product. I have made bedspreads, tablecloths and doilies for years and stand by this great product. I do recommend telling people that it is 100% cotton and should not be machine washed or dried. I also recommend using a preferred color cloth underneath for accent. And if a item made is a tablecloth a clear plastic cover is advisable to protect all your hard work.

I filet crochet a lot of items and these large skeins are wonderful.

My grandmother taught me how to crochet and Aunt Lydia was one of her favorite brands. The tablecloths, bedspreads, even doilies come out beautifully. Christmas ornaments stiffen well in the sugar water bath and retain their color. Since it’s cotton it washes well. There is nothing like sitting down in the evening with an old movie and crocheting.

This was my first time using this thread. As an expert crocheter I want only the best threads for heirloom projects and the fact that this was a mega ball of over 2000 yards I was eager to try it. Excellent thread! Has a silky feel as it goes over your fingers, no shredding of the thread at any time. Cheaper threads have a tendency to shred, the fibers are loose. I have reordered this brand for another tablecloth. Love it!

I've been working with this cotton thread for years. It's really nice to work with & projects come out great. I always hand wash my doilies, lay flat to dry & iron them between 2 tea towels. I would highly recommend this product.

Giving this yarn a 4/ 5 star rateing because it is wonderful to work with. Giving the price a 2 star rateing because they keep jacking up the price! This yarn is over priced and why does the price keep going up? Right now it is priced at $41.00, are you serious? Was cheaper a little while ago. This is getting rediculous! How are crochet projects going to get done and not at these prices! So frustrateing having to wait for the price to come back down again and crochet project put on hold!

This was a good deal at 19.97, there was quite a few cuts in it, so had to keep tying it together, now I have unsightly knots to look at in my work... now I see that this is way up in price! Now they want over $40!?! Crazy
