18-8 Stainless Steel J Hook Battery Hold Down Bolts,10-Inch

I bought these stainless steel J-hook battery tie downs for my 2009 Toyota Matrix, and they worked perfectly. The threads were clean, the hardware felt solid, and the overall fit was spot-on with the stock battery tray and hold-down bracket. Installation was straightforward, I just reused the original top bracket, hooked these into the tray, and tightened everything down. The stainless steel construction is a huge plus since the old mild steel ones had basically corroded away after years of moisture and battery acid exposure. These look like they’ll easily outlast the car. One small note: the rods were slightly longer than factory, so I trimmed a bit off the ends for a cleaner fit. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning. Overall, these are a great upgrade for anyone replacing rusty battery hardware. Strong, corrosion-resistant, and a perfect fit for the 2009 Matrix (and likely most other Toyotas from the same era). Highly recommend if you want a lasting fix instead of cheap zinc coated replacements.

I like you can order different lengths, and they come with a variety of washers, nuts, wingnuts, and bolt tip covers. I trimmed one of them down easily with my dremel tool, after installing, since my Tundra has two lengths of j-bolts for each side of the battery. No issues.

Worked great for what I needed. I didn't measure fit before ordering, but was able to cut it off with a cutoff wheel on my grinder so that the j hook would not hit the hood upon closure. It was nice to finally get rid of he old bungee cord that had been holding the battery in place on my wife's truck.

Great replacement. Mine came with wing-nuts, I like that. Has a cap for the ends which gives it a clean look.
