Commercial quality feel about this product
Happy with this. It looks and feels very well made with brass and heavy duty plastic

After years of replacing disposable filter cartridges every week and sometimes more often, we finally decided to try one of these spin down flushable filters. We were very impressed with the quality of the iSpring filter... straightforward installation and operation, and it works extremely well. A little too well in our case... we should have gone with the larger micron cartridge as it plugged up several times daily because of all the debris in our water supply. But we contacted customer service (US based, big thumbs up) and Julius was fantastic... they sent out the 100 micron replacement, even shipped free of charge to Canada. The larger micron cartridge works so much better for us. With the automatic flush set to once per day we have no more plugging. However, if you have a lot of debris or sediment I recommend going with the larger WSP-ARJ model which come with up to a 200 or even 500 micron cartridge. Spring and fall are worse times with our artesian well and we may need to do that yet. I wish we would have contacted iSpring beforehand and explained what we required, as I'm sure they would have advised us what was best. I must say there are not too many companies that impress me these days but this is definitely one of them. We may be expanding our water filtration system in the future and will not hesitate to buy from iSpring again, and of course highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality product and service to back it up.

Works well. Filters mesh was to small for my bore as it is very silty and dirty water. Contacted support and replacement filter being sent with larger mesh. No issues or hassles in getting replacement filter. Would recommend product

A Great pre-filter. I installed this when I moved into my new house with a Well system. The Well is rather old and while it is free of any bacteria or other nasties the water has a bunch of clay sediment in it. I have only basic plumbing knowledge soldered a pipe or two, fixed some leaks with shark bite connectors, and installed a sink or two and this was very easy if you plan out your install. There are many diagrams and recommendations online for diy, just make sure to install shut off valve before and after the filters as well as a bypass. I put this ahead of an I spring 3 (Sediment, Carbon, Heavy metal )stage 20 " sediment filter, followed by a UV light to kill anything left behind and I didn't want to have to replace these filters all the time (thus the pre-filter) I live on my own so my water usage is lower than most families, but with this filter for instance I average only need to replace my sediment filter every 1.5 years, rather than the usual 6 months. My carbon filter is also still is in almost new condition when I checked at nearly 2 years. Unfortunately, I don't have a Gallon count, so I am unsure of the exact usage. The only thing I would probably do differently if I had to set this up all over would likely be to is to order the 100 micron filter rather than the 50. I have pretty sediment filled water, so the filter can clog up very fast with the smaller size. I should let the rest of my filters do more work as intended as currently the pre filter can clog up faster than the automatic flush can clean it at times (flushes daily for 15 seconds). This can temporarily drop my water pressure significantly until I manually flush it, or clean the filter myself. Also, if your water is high in clay type sediment, it doesn't always flush out properly from the filter, so you end up having to manually clean out the filter on a monthly basis to keep your water pressure up. The built-in scraper is mostly useless as well unless you have large chunks of sediment as there is too large of a gap between it and the filter.
