This smart safety helmet is very impressive, if rather expensive. It fits well and comfortably, particularly as it has an adjustable head band which tightens with a quick turn! The illumination front and back is bright and clear and the battery life good enough for a very long ride. My only gripe is with the peak accessory I purchased to shield my eyes. Don’t bother! It’s expensive, doesn’t fit securely and is hardly any bigger than the front of the helmet! A ripoff. 🫤

Good helmet, beautiful and the lights are strong enough to be seen in the dark. Very light in weight and easy to adjust so it's comfortable to use. The strap adjustment is weak and will get loose soon enough so it's a pain to adjust every time. Easy to turn on, off and switch modes. The battery lasts around 8-10h on my daily use. The buttons for side signaling are ok, easy to install as it comes with different size rubber bands. Sound is clear enough for you to understand the side you're signaling and the button led also flashes, but it doesn't always connect straight away and after a few rainy days it stopped working. The signaling is missed by literally everyone on the streets so if that's the reason you're thinking on buying one, think twice.

BLOODY BRILLIANT!!! So many car drivers have pulled up beside me and commented about how clear the red light is from a distance!! That speaks volumes !! I did program my own flash patterns for front and rear which means it’s less obtrusive to other road users.. fantastic value and SAFE

The Lumos Ultra helmet is available at 2 prices. The lower price is WITHOUT MIPS. The higher-priced helmet is WITH MIPS. I opted for the slightly more expensive with the additional protection, which is described as reducing helmet movement and helping to reduce brain movement and subsequent injury in the event of an accident. The additional protective material is inserted inside the helmet and you have to apply this yourself when the helmet is first set up to be used. It's easy and small patches of velcro keep it in place. The helmet itself is lightweight, not too bulky and easy to adjust. The lighting on the helmet at the front does the job of helping increase your visibility and can be set to remain on, or flash. I would say the light is not bright enough to replace a handlebar-mounted light if the thought crossed your mind. The control for the helmet light flashing pattern can be controlled via an app, available for iOS and Android. There is a charging port and button to operate the light on the rear of the helmet. The rear lights look great - very neat and bright, again, increasing visibility on the road. The rear lights also operate as indicator lights, left and right flashing. These are controlled via a supplied add-on for handlebars and are easy to use, with a small beep emitted from the helmet to let you know they are in use. Very handy. The button controller is small and easily attached to the handlebar. As with the front lights, the rear lights have customisation options via the phone app. The left/right indicator control comes with a 2032 battery and is easy to fit. The phone app also provides you with feedback on the batter level of the helmet lights and Lumos actually offers firmware updates via the app, which is connected by Bluetooth to the helmet. The supplied USB-A to USB-C cable will charge the helmet from your typical iPhone or Android charging plug. FYI - There is an optional device, compatible with this helmet, which can be purchased and I think uses an accelerometer to provide 'brake' lighting, to alert anyone behind you that you are slowing down. The helmet is breathable and feels sturdy, offering a level of comfort and reassurance when you're cycling. It's good value for money in my opinion, and hopefully, I will never have to find out just how good the helmet protection can be.

I've been in the market for a new helmet for quite sometime, comparing different models and features. I discovered Lumos via youtube and I initially thought it was all "appearance" but no "substance", but after searching and discovering more and more, I decided to buy one of this helmet, with MIPS. In my opinion, the difference of price is worth the extra layer of security offered by the MIPS. The helmet comes with integrated lights that are customizable, app is easy and straightforward. I manage to get one with a bit of discount, so I haven't choose the color, but in reality the quality of the plastic is very high, colors are very nice and the possibility to have the indicator for me is a big plus. I use it for daily commute to work, and for me is the best at the moment quality / price. If you wish to invest more, they have a different model with more screen surface on the back, but for a daily commute this is perfect for me

beau, agréable à porter et permet d’être visible. par contre n’espérer pas éclairer votre chemin avec la lampe, elle permet surtout d’être visible... mais franchement un superbe casque et sympas les lampe arrière qui se transforme en clignotant

a mio parere dovrebbe essere d'obbligo per legge! Funziona benissimo e lo ha voluto anche la mia collega. La luce frontale funziona tanto ed è comoda quando parcheggio la bici in un punto non illuminato la sera. Così vedo meglio il lucchetto e tutto il resto. Io passo da strade industriali non molto belle da fare in bici ma con questo casco e gli specchietti montati sulla bici, viaggio che un piacere e sono rispettata.
