18 IN. SMOKE STACK EXTENSION FOR OKLAHOMA JOE'S HIGHLAND OFFSET COOKER USING 3 IN SMOKE STACK

I have an Oklahoma Joe’s highland smoker and it fits perfectly. It’s actually much more well made than the smoker itself, it’s very heavy gauged steel. Just get a can of rustoleum high heat black spray paint and paint it. It definitely improves draft and airflow through the smoker, it also keeps the smoke a little high out of your face when you’re doing things around the smoker. Get one, you definitely won’t regret it. It’s hard to find things that are this well made nowadays.

The pipe extension is solid, however, quality control is lacking. The upper flange is slightly bent and the solder joints are rough. It does not come painted or primed just bare metal. It does not come with hardware to attach the flap to the flange but a quick run to the hardware store solved that issue. Once painted, the extension looks great.

I can't say enough good things about this product.It is very well made out of heavy gauge quality steel. The welds are superior, and it will last a lifetime. I find that I can use less wood and smaller splits now, moreover, the fire burns cleaner with no temperature spikes. It fits my OK Joe's Highland offset perfectly and, I think the ouality construction and the benefits provided justify its cost.

Ordered one, sent without the vent....they send a replacement and the replacement has a huge hole in it.. it's a tube with two welds. I was kinda mad at myself for shelling out 79 bucks for a piece of pipe and then to have them send me two defective ones. Both are not welded properly and I'll have to use jb weld or something. Idk I'm just really at a loss cuz folks swear by lavalock.... I don't get the hype.

Seems it is solidly made but now I have to make a trip to find a bolt to connect the cover. This seems to happen somewhat frequently in the reviews.

This stack extension is awesome. Wish the smoker was this heavy duty. Noticeable difference in airflow and temp control. If I could deduct a quarter of a star, I would since there wasn’t any hardware to fasten the damper plate to the pipe. The lack of paint wasn’t a problem since I decided to season it for a few hours. Overall I’m impressed with this purchase.

Works like it should. I noticed a difference in the air draw. My fire didn’t die out as quickly from lack of oxygen.The build quality is okay. Mine came with missing bolts and nut but the company sent me replacements. Recommend painting it before you use it since it can rust.

It is heavy, which is good, and fit my Oklahoma Joes Highland smoker stack perfectly. It is metal in the white. I cleaned it with mineral spirits, and put two coats of high-temp paint on it. It actually did create a better draw into the fire box.
