Excellent product. These seem to be exactly what they claim to be. Fish free. No bad taste. Individually wrapped in blister packets so they are always fresh and no sticking together. Great product. I have reordered several times.

I have tried about every vegan and vegetarian omega-3 DHA/EPA supplement out there. They go in and out of stock and so whenever I can't find an old favorite, I look for a new brand. This is the latest one I tried.Back in February or March, I had a cholesterol test where my HDL was 51 and my total cholesterol was 165. Within the last couple of weeks, I started using this product, and found my total cholesterol dropped to 150, though my HDL went up to 56. As a woman, I'd still like my HDL to be over 60 (that's the "good" cholesterol, in case you didn't remember), but even after only a few weeks on this product, the trend is in the right direction. (For what it's worth, I started taking an omega-3 fatty acid supplement to help get my cholesterol under control. I also stopped eating refined grains 7 or 8 years ago, and that has helped as well. I have been a vegetarian for 24 years and generally keep to a high carb (fiber), low fat diet.)Since I have actual results from a lab, I feel like I have an objective measurement of this product, and even though my numbers were pretty good before, they're even better now.These are rather large, oleaginous gel-type caps (sans gelatin, of course). I do not find them difficult to swallow, but they are on the large side for supplements. I do not refrigerate them (some omega-3 supplements require this). I do not find them to have any kind of scent or aftertaste, which is nice (some other brands, even vegan ones, have a fishy/seaweed sort of aftertaste).I am not such a fan of the blister packs (this comes with several cards containing pills individually packaged). I understand this keeps them fresh and sealed away from air, where they might degrade, but I find the packaging a bit more annoying to deal with than a bottle containing all the pills. You would want to keep the box closed and in a cabinet to avoid light exposure, because one side of the blister packs is clear (the other side is, as you might expect, foil).I take these in the evening with food, at my largest meal of the day. I figure they may be helping the fat-soluble vitamins from my multivitamin get absorbed more efficiently. I like that this has DHA and EPA instead of ALA, since ALA (what you find in flax, chia, etc.) is inefficiently converted to the active forms DHA and EPA in the body. With this product, you get full doses of the active forms.Anyway, very happy with this and will be buying it again soon.

Best quality algae omega that I have tried. No bad smell or taste, easy to swallow, and can feel the difference.

It contains CARRAGEENAN for those of you concerned about that.It is listed on the web page under ingredients. I didn't notice it when I ordered.It's not returnable so I had to throw it away.

Great vegan omegas. I appreciate finding affordable omega supplements that aren’t sourced from fish. The pills don’t have a strange taste and they don’t leave me burping up strange smells later or upset my stomach. I’ll keep buying them.All that said, I dislike the packaging. I understand the softgels will stick together if put in a bottle together but that doesn’t bother me. It doesn’t hurt the softgels or waste product. The blister packs are such a waste of non-recyclable plastic and foil. The packaging is the only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars.

I needed a reliable vegan source of Omega-3 and really don't like having to take multiple capsules if possible. With Testa the daily requirement for Omega-3 is covered with just one capsule. I'm very pleased with this product.

Of course, it is impossible to categorically state that Testa Omega 3 is the best product there is, because it's effectiveness would have to be monitored over many years of use, but the information presented by Testa makes sense to me. I have used it for more than two months now, and have reordered it because I like the results so far. I like that they package the pills in easy to open blister packs to maintain freshness. Some reviewers don't like the blister packs, and I’m sure life would be simpler for Testa if they didn't use them, so they must really believe that they offer a benefit or they wouldn't go through the hassle of packaging them that way. I like the concept of obtaining Omega 3 from vegetable sources rather than fish because it makes it much less likely that the oil will be rancid. I gave up taking Omega 3 oil many years ago because of an adverse reaction to rancid fish oil, and only recently became aware that it could be obtained from vegetable sources. I'm not a vegetarian, and have no aversion to meat or fish products, but in this case it appears that algae is a superior source of Omega 3. At least I certainly hope so!
