I really like the quality and consistency in output of the IDentipen, and I particularly like how much control over the stroke and ink output it gives you. There’s very little feathering on index cards and heavier stock, or lighter stock for that matter. There’s a very little amount of bleeding, but it’s truly insignificant on heavier stock. It also writes very well on plastic, dries quickly, and wears very well. I rate it the highest quality permanent pen you can purchase. I’ve bought these several times over, and consider it a necessary staple in my pen collection.

I tried one out as a lab marker. The marker puts down a reasonably dark blue that can be read on translucent and transparent surfaces. The ink is not very resistant to 70% ethanol when marked on plastic. The fine tip has also degraded much faster than the wide tip, though it performed quite well when the marker was new, and lasted a few months of light use.

Does not bleed.
