I have 3 boys ranging from 5 to 11 who absolutely love this race set. The lane changing action and the capability of racing up to 6 cars at one time makes for some very realistic racing. Please do note that the layout for this race set takes up a space of approximately11ft x 6ft...so you really need to have a spot in the house picked out to set up the track. And there are many add-ons that you can purchase to make the racing experience even more fun...though be prepared to spend a bit of money for the add-ons. The wireless controllers are particularly nice to have...allows the boys to spread out around the track.

I got this set for myself and my grandchildren. Wanted something to do when the weather was bad. I remember slotcars from the 60s as a teenager. This set is much better. You can pass and drive on either lane. Came with 3 cars. We use them all at the same time. Couldn't do that with the old ones. Track is big. Built a table 5ft by 11ft and it barely fits. Fun!

Having a blast with these 2 Carrera tracks I set up. My friends and I spend hours after work on Fridays racing and having a few adult beverages. There's nothing better to blow off a little steam. At 47 with 3 kids, who also love to race, I'd say it's the perfect toy to mix the ages and all have fun. Plus, the cars are awesome, they all handle a little different, and getting to know how one particular one handles is awesome.

This was a birthday gift for my husband. He loves it, and wants more track.

Excellent product. Better than expected

I love this as a first Carrera Digital 1/32 set. As with most slot car sets, you "save" money you'd have to spend on a la carte upgrades later on by buying those same items in the set. The third controller and car, and larger track layout are worth the expense, but at almost $400, it's a substantial investment. There are other Carrera sets at around this price point that have either have only two cars or which offer wireless controllers instead -- I don't mind the wires, so this made the most sense. The cars have good detail and have been durable over all, but unlike some Carrera cars in the past, don't have break away or rubberized wings and mirrors. We snapped the rear wing off the Corvette in what seemed like a low speed collision. The fragile plastic antennae on the top of two of the cars aren't going to survive long, either, but were hardly noticeable to begin with. I'm willing to take the trade off of a better looking, but slightly fragile car. Scalextric and Ninco digital starter set cars typically have blacked out windows and plain liveries. The digital command center can do quite a bit, but there's no video or digital output. For that reason, I'd recommend investing in the AppConnect, which allows you to use your iOS or Android device to control the race functions of the set. You can also create driver profiles, races for set laps or set amount of times, and, with the pit lane (not included), can track fuel consumption as the race goes on.Keep in mind, Carrera track is much larger than AFX or even Scalextric track. You're going to need quite a bit of room to do a layout, especially once you expand beyond this track.

Super:Tolle Carrera Bahn die sofort Spaß macht. Alle 3 Autos haben Licht und fahren sehr schnell. Wir mussten für die Kurven die Leitplanken anbringen, ohne war es schon sehr schwierig auf der Strecke zu bleiben. Mit Bluetooth Adapter (nicht im Lieferumfang) konnten wir die Autos per Handy App an die eigenen Bedürfnisse anpassen. Die Geschwindigkeit ist in 10 Stufen drosselbar, das Bremsverhalten kann geändert werden und man kann eindeutig den Sieger eines Rennens ermitten. Super ist auch, dass man gleichzeitig mit 6 Fahrzeugen auf 2 Spuren fahren kann. Wir sind Weihnachten nur mit 2 Fahrern unterwegs gewesen. Allerdings mit dem 3. Wagen als autonomes Fahrzeug auf der Strecke. Wenn man im autonomen Modus einmal die Geschwindigkeit eingestellt hat, dann dreht der Wagen zuverlässig seine Runden und wechselt auch zufällig die Spur. Macht echt Laune...Minus:Die Schienen ließen sich teilweise etwas schwer zusammenstecken, aber wenn man den Dreh raus hat klappt es sehr gut.Manche Anbauteile der Autos brechen recht schnell ab (Spiegel, Spoiler...), ist aber für das Fahren unerheblich.Größter Minuspunkt:Die Verpackung. Die reinste Styropor Orgie. Was Weihnachten an Styropor Krümeln in der Wohnung lag war unglaublich. Heute gibt es doch so viele Alternativen zu diesem elenden Polstermaterial. Bei einem Artikel der rund 300 Euro kostet, muss man nicht an dieser Stelle sparen. Da muss Carrera noch mal ran... Daher nur 4 Sterne, statt 5.

Die Verarbeitung dieser Carrera Bahn ist super. Wir haben uns diese Bahn für unsere Mittagspausen in der Firma bestellt. Und alle Kollegen sind begeistert. Alle kennen noch die Bahnen von damals.Leider musste ich in einigen Rezensionen lesen, dass wegen brechenden Anbauteilen von schlechter Qualität berichtet wird. ALLE Teile lassen sich vor dem Rennen entfernen. Und darauf wird auch hingewiesen. Jeder Carrera Fan schätz die Details und Maßstabsgetreue Umsetzung der großen Vorbilder. Wenn man diese Teile stabiler bauen würde, wäre nichts mehr Detailgetreu aussehen.Die Lackierung hält super. Trotz der vielen Crashes. Funktion der Bahn ist fehlerfrei.Wir werden die Bahn auf alle Fälle erweitern.

Macht großen Spaß! Dass die Kleinteile der Autos davonfliegen, war absehbar, stört aber beim Fahren nicht. Die Rückspiegel können auch abgenommen werden. Vor allem das Spurwechseln macht die Bahn sehr spannend. Wir können sie weiterempfehlen!
