A little loose but breathable and light
It fit a bit bigger than expected but breathed well. I bought the shirt for a performance I was involved in however I found it comfortable enough to wear on occasion as a casual piece I can wear to the local pub or to the park with my wife for a walk or an outdoor lunch. I'm African-American, not Arab or Persian, but I think being of African descent sorta gives me an admittedly flimsy shield against charges of cultural appropriation. Up to a point! I got the matching all-white puffy pants and shemagh (head wrap) for the show but I think trying to rock all three would get me a well deserved pie in the face. Anyway, I'm 6'3" with a medium to muscular build (I'm a dancer but not skinny!) and the shirt itself fits rather loosely! I'm used to sizing up because of my height and build but had I known how it would fit I might've sized down to an L, rather than an XL. The looseness worked well for the show but if you're planning to wear this casually and your more on the skinny side just go with your normal size or even size down by one.

Runs small
Ordered to wear at a Ren Faire in Texas. Fabric is quite thin (which we actually wanted).Based on size chart we ordered a 2x to fit loosely. We Had to return the original item. Although it technically “fit” the chest measurement, the shoulders & arms were much too narrow. Nearly splitting seams when he moved his arms. Fabric has zero stretch. We ended up ordering a 5X to allow for movement! It was still a bit snug across the shoulders especially when he moved his arms. The waist actually seemed to be about the same as the 2X!It looks great with the kilt & helped handle the Texas heat.Would order again but need to drastically exaggerate the sizing. At least 3 sizes up if the guy has big shoulders.

I really wish this was made out of a different material with a little bit more stretch.
I really wish this was made out of a different material with a little bit more stretch. I love the concept of these shirts. The design. However the way that these shirts are stitched I am having a difficult time. Well I bought two of these shirts. And the second one was a size larger and still under the arms and in the shoulders it’s very tight. I am disappointed I would not recommend this to anyone. However the concept is nice. I like the design but the material and how it’s stitched and the flexibility is quite terrible actually from what appears to be a very loose fitting shirt. Very casual very beach like it is not that way at all. If you have the sense to lift your arms up above your head and it has no flexibility. I’m going to keep the shirts. But if I ever get the chance to have a professional seamstress I am going to figure out how to make it more flexible in the armpits in the shoulders. Otherwise don’t waste your time with a specific brand. I’m sure there are other brands out there that have a better fit with better material . I would not recommend less. Also to add in there that they have the string with a little loopholes it’s kind of tacky actually. I just removed the string. And upon this mistake in purchasing I will better a tune myself to know the products. Otherwise sorry company your shirt is quite terrible. It would be the day that you would actually come across this comment and reimburse my money but I’m not gonna waste my time I’m just gonna give you a straight up honest review and hope nobody else purchases your shirt in this particular style.

Get what you pay for
Simple advice: the dude in the picture is probably 5’10” tall, .04% body fat and he’s probably wearing the 5XL.Now for the backstory: bought this cause I loved the print and style, but figured for the price, I’d be safe and get the largest size they have. I normally wear a 3xl tall, and since this doesn’t come in a tall, I figured with a 5xl I’d be swimming in it, after a wash should probably fit perfectly. THIS IS A EUROPEAN CUT SHIRT, and a small European at that. I could barely get this over my chest and it barely came all the way down my tummy. Granted, I’m a bit chubby, but again I really figured the extra room would be for height alone especially after a shrink in the wash. If you want a visual, I am the exact size and shape of most NFL lineman. 6’5” and 320lbs. Muscle covered with a little chub lol. Now, they suggest “if you want a loose fit you should select one size up”. Which is laughable, since I went two sizes up and this thing was fitting like a compression shirt. It was so laughable in fact I had to look for the tag to make sure they actually sent a 5xl because I would swear it was a 2xl. Needless to say though, it was indeed a 5xl so got my return going. Disappointed and no great lose, but def want to warn anyone over 6’ OR you aren’t a jacked fitness coach, probably should just forget this.

Nice shirt but material is low quality and bad upper back size configuration.
I thought I was going to like this shirt but it wasn't the way it looks on the picture. The material looks like it's some sort of starch linen that is not what it seems on the pictures depicted on amazon. On the pictures in Amazon it looks fresh and seems to be some sort of cotton stretchy and breathable shirt. The material is completely different. There is no tag on the shirt that specifies the material and when you lift up your arms the back becomes extremely tight that if you are not careful and you make a certain move to lift your arms up you can tear the shirt.
