This paring knife is impressively sharp right out of the box and has quickly become a go-to. It’s perfect for peeling or small, precise tasks that a larger knife can’t handle. The handle is comfortable and feels secure in hand, while the overall build feels much higher quality than the price suggests.

I am only a home cook, but use knives daily. I have used this to mince meat, chop veggies and it works well. It is light in the hand and doesn't require a lot of pressure to slice through meat, especially. This knife if becoming my day-to-day knife and definitely recommend it.

I am a self-proclaimed Chef, cooking numerous Ethnic backgrounds. I also have a very expensive, high-end Kitchen cutlery collection (several, several thousand dollars in cutlery, some of which can be seen in the photo above). I primarily own Zwilling JA Henckels Pro & Four Star series, Miyabi SG2 Birchwood knives, & forged Henckels, Mercer, & Victorinox. Yes, all the above knives are Chef very high end Chef/Commercial grade cutlery. In my opinion, so is this Imarku Nakiri blade. As you can see in the photo I uploaded, the Imarku Nakiri is my only knife not covered or holstered in or on a knife block, but rather out in the open on my kitchen stove ready to be grabbed at a moments notice. That alone should tell readers something of how I rate this blade. The Nakiri is well made, has a hearty weight, feels comfortable in the hand, and the hammered dents to the blade aids in slicing food without the food sticking to the knife. It came surgically sharp right out of the box, and as you can see in the photo, it is simply beautiful craftsmanship. Why not 5 stars? I have worked/trained in wood shop, metal shop, &knife making, and I can't help but think that the handle is a faux Parka wood, rather than real wood. I have yet to confirm this one way or another, but if it was indeed faux, it would explain the cheaper price for this knife compared to other manufacturers.

The dimpled texture on the sides of the blade that are supposed to keep sliced pieces from adhering to the blade DON'T WORK. It is not a deal breaker. They do look cool though.
