Buckle is smaller than similar models from other brands. Lock button is a little bit harder to use, but I think it seems well built and is good value.

Bought this when my old retractable leash (18 years old!!) frayed too much to be safe. I like the ribbon better than the cord type leashes and the bright yellow color. The poop bag dispenser attaches easily. I've attached a treat dispenser and a small light for locating nighttime poos. The handle is just right for smaller hands, but maybe too small for larger hands. The longer length is nice since it gives my pup more lead since I'm sure it sucks to be on a leash at all. The ribbon did get a knot in it that I worked out in less than a minute. It lost a star because the reflective bit didn't impress me too much. It may not last as long as the last one, but so far so good!

The only reason I didn't rate this lower is that the concept is good, it's the execution that is faulty. The spring is not very strong, the tape is too thin, and the fastener that hooks to the collar doesn't swivel easy enough to keep the tape flat when it retracts so you have to either pull it out and start over, keep it between your fingers to keep it flat, or pull on it to tighten what's already been retracted to make room for the rest of it. I ordered it because I walk my dog after dark in the winter and liked the idea of reflective tape. The tape is not reflective, just the part in my hand has a reflective piece on the sides. The problem is, the pieces on the sides are not adhered completely and will eventually peal off. There are bubbles in the material.My dog is only 17 pounds so it's safe for her but I wouldn't put a 45# dog on it like the description says you can. It is just not strong enough.

Waste of money! Constantly got stuck & then broke all together within 2 months!

This Doggo tape leash looks good and has a nice rubberized grip. I find the the tape reel lock is awkward versus my Flexi leash. The real has jambed several times over the first 6 months.

A dog that only weighs 34lbs when the leash is rated for a 65lb dog should not just shear off into shreds allowing my dog to bolt in under 6 months of usage
