I had the starter fail on my LS2 2006 Corvette. This is all that needed replacing to fix the issue. Car starts like new. A side benefit is that if you are experiencing the dreaded Service Charging System message, you may have a solenoid that is getting close to failure. After checking battery and alternator I was unable to find the problem. As it turns out, a failing starter solenoid can be the culprit.......car starts like a champ again and the voltage holds solid with no more DIC messages.Pics are of my original unit that this part replaces after removing it from your starter. Sorry, I didn't take a pic of the new unit, it was a direct fit with only a couple slight visual variations that are of no consequence and need no modification. Should have done this years ago when I first experienced the charging issue.Install and removal of your starter may vary. I had it done in no time as my long tube headers allowed full access! Stock exhaust will require some extra steps. I.E. stock catalytic converter removal and possible loosening off of stock manifolds.

Product very reasonable priced. Auto parts stores do not sell solenoid separately. If you can diagnose the problem, this will fix it cheap/
