Holbein Meltz Color Pencil Blender 35ml

This works great! Blends the colors, and allows them to cover any dips in the surface. Can give colored pencils the look of watercolor, or paint. I am a novice, and not finished with this yet, but will upload an example. Use sparingly, to avoid blurring sharp lines and edges. Amazing effects and quality!

Hands down, best solvent for wax-based colored pencils I have found. Works with ALL brands, and a little goes a long way. If you're used to using plain alcohol for blending, there is a bit of a learning curve, since this is a stronger solvent. I will definitely be purchasing more.

Holbein Meltz solution is capable of blending out coloured pencils but is also capable of blending out water-soluble media, as well. I put the Meltz solution into an empty Copic Sketch marker and use it as a blender for coloured pencils as well as water-colour pencils and even Neocolor II crayons. The Sketch body is refillable and the Copic nibs are replaceable if they get too worn. It's the perfect environmentally-friendly solution - no plastic pens to throw out when they're empty or when the nib is worn. Love Holbein Meltz solution!

I have a set of Holbein pencils but I tried to use this on my Caran D’Ache set too and it doesn’t work. I prefer Holbein pencils anyways. But I like how this blends things out.

I've attached a small test I did on cold press watercolor paper. This product says on the bottle that it will work best with Holbein color pencils, but as you can see from the test, it worked best on Faber Castell Polychromos. It didn't work at all on Prismacolor. So, if you're looking for a great blender for Polychromos, I highly recommend. Otherwise, skip it.

This is fantastic. Would recommend this to anyone. This is much better than a blender marker because you can constantly use new qtips, cotton, sponge etc for every color rather than using a blender marker which you have to clean before switching colors. Will be buying again

As a liquid colour blender it is effective. But it takes a long time to dry. Hence one needs to be careful of quantity used for blending.

It works well with coloring pencils. Blends well. With Hobien pencils. Overall a good product.
