excellent just what i needed
arrived in perfect working order just what i needed id did the job i required it to doRecovering a completley flat lead acid battery that battery chargers would not recognise

Great
Looking forward to trying it out

pretty good
power for projects - very slightly out on voltages but minor detail - otherwise nice bit of kit - bonus of extra leads a nice touch

Great value and confident operation
Very easy to use unit being used to power small cnc machine spindles. Great locking functions on bolts or amps delivered is very useful. Cooling fan does it's job quietly and even when fully loaded it delivers a smooth supply reliably.

Aways start from zero and adjust slowly The Current setting for your load until GREEN Led lits up
With your load connected having got used to setting current and voltage to zero then raising the Current slowlly until the led goes to GREEN...at which point you can raise the voltage to what you require safe in the knowledge that the current level set will be constant and will not rise above Unless you change it.Just think about what you are doing and if you alter any setting do it very slowly as this power supply will deliver lots of current.

Beware of surges
Although this power supply works as described, it will generate damaging over-current under some circumstances. As another reviewer has noted, when applying the power start with the voltage and current at zero and then increase them gradually. If you preset to the required voltage and set a suitable current limit with the power supply on, the current available at the terminals can be well above the setting. For example, I wanted to test some LEDs, so I set the voltage to 3.2v and the current limit to 10mA, then connected the LED with no series resistor, expecting the current to be limited to 10mA. It blew several LEDs before I realised what was happening. I suspect there is a capacitor on the output which charges up, then dumps its charge into whatever is connected, with no limit on the current. To be fair, the gradual ramp-up technique is recommended in the manual, but it's not the expected behaviour of a good stabilised supply. I'll keep it, but cannot rely on the current limit.

Can’t fault it.
Lives up to the specifications. Good accuracy - matches my standalone meters. The fine adjustment works well - only way I’d improve that is to have a notch on the dial so it can be left mid adjustment when starting off.Fan kicks in when under load and keeps it nicely cool. Handy spare set of leads - although they have full plastic covers on the equipment end so would be mainly useful in a separate meter. It’s lighter than you would expect but well made and finished.

works well
bought as a variable bench power supply does this well, but its not a clean power supply, you will need to spend more for that
