Chef's Star Stainless Steel Cookware, 2 Quart Steamer Basket Set

Love, love, love my steamer. I used it as soon as I could get it out of the box. After reading the description I was confident that it was high-quality stainless steel which was a must. "Another pleasant surprise is that it is lightweight and easy to use. I wasn't sure about the handles on both sides of the pot but find they actually help with handling. The steamer is roomy and much better than the steamer basket I once used to insert in my pot. I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase. By the way, the pot was available at another store for just about the same price without the steamer. Thank you for a well-designed product.

I'm very happy with this purchase. The set is shiny and beautiful. I've used the pans a few times and washed them in the dishwasher. They came out of the dishwasher looking spotless. This is a metal that can also be used on an induction stove which is a big plus for me. I have received many new products recently that did not turn out to my expectations at all. I believe that this is one time my expectations have been met. I expect this pan set will last a long time and I'm glad I bought this set. However, one problem is the handles. They do get hot, just be careful.

I really liked the price of this and like that it is so sturdy. The handles, as sometimes do the handles on other pots and pans, burn just enough to make the fam wonder what the smell is if I put the heat up to high, so that it's coming up and out from under the sides of the bottom of the pot. Great size for steaming for me if I want to splurge and eat veggies all day or if I want to save some for a couple of days. Also good for a fam of three for a meal. Really happy with price, size and durability of the pot. If the plastic handles were of a different more durable and maybe more expensive material, this would be a really wonderful pot. Still happy with the purchase and use often. Would def recommend changing the handles. Thank you!

I have been used to very large size cooking gear, restaurant style. So I was looking for a smaller version of my big steamer. This steamer stack fits the bill very nicely. For a quick meal, it cooks much faster than the big pots, veggies are done in minutes. The quality of materials is excellent. The fit of the steamer insert and lid is fine, remember, this is not a pressure cooker! One thing to be aware of is that because the stack is so small in diameter, (8 1/2 in), you can't put it on a large gas burner at hi settings. The flame will melt the handles. At medium settings, however, everything is fine and you won't even need pot holders to take the pot off the stove. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This product is shiny, looks good, like the weight-feel. I think it was cooking on the burner for about 10 mins before I realized that I had forgotten to put water in it. This steamer is made so well that it distributed the heat even after I forgot, first time, to add water before turning on the heat, without burning red or catching fire. I contacted Chef's Star to see if the steamer was still safe to use. He said yes, and advised to purchase Bar Keepers Friend from Amazon to help clean up the discoloration. I highly recommend this steamer.

This steamer is a great small size and works really well. I would have given 5 stars however the first few times I used the steamer my whole kitchen smelled of burining plastic, I realized the heat from my gas stove was heating up the plastic handles and releasing a plastic smell, really unpleasant and prob shouldn’t happen on a pot meant for a stove top. When I turn the heat to medium low the smell doesn’t happen. Beware using this on high heat on a gas stove.

5 STARS!!!!! My wife is an excellent cook & we have good quality stainless steel pots - she says this pot is now her #1 go-to pot for cooking - not just for steaming. She says you can feel its top quality. All PRO's for her - no CON's. For me the price was good too. You don't always have to pay top dollar for good quality - some manufacturers deliver on both quality & price.

I steam vegetables at least 3 or 4 times per week. This 3 piece unit works very well for that, of course. The 2 quart steamer piece is large enough to handle an intact head of cauliflower, and yet the entire set is easy to store. I also like the handles ... they are secure.Our stack and steam set replaced a plug-in, two-tier vegetable steamer that was less attractive, more time-consuming to clean, and more awkward to store. I consider this purchase to be an upgrade.

Buen producto. Me gusta especialmente el detalle de que está graduada en su interior, marcando distintas capacidades (1 litro, 1,5 litros, 2 litros). Quizás es un poco pequeña pero está bien, así también es más ligera

La calidad es normalita tirando a un poco baja, llevo un año usándola y aunque seguiré con ella, pero ya digo que es de calidad media-baja
