I often watch a YouTube channel Wristwatch Revival” and that craftsman (of the highest caliber) uses one of these bases so as I embark upon my own journey in watch repair work, it was one of my first purchases. It works like a charm.

The construction is minimal and the metal ring isn’t fastened on, causing it to slip off and the little leather surface comes apart from the cushion. But, this is a very cheap object so my expectations weren’t sky high.

This is a very small case cushion, much smaller than the bergereon cushion. Just be aware

My fault for not looking at the size picture butits very small. also this thing feels very cheep dont expect it to last very long at all.

You sort of need something like this if you're doing watchwork under a microscope. It's firm enough to hold the work, and soft enough not to damage it. Price from Bergeon is about 10x this one, and I can't see any significant difference.

If you like watch repairs and watch repair tools then dont bother with this. Cushion cover is pulling out from the ring. It feels cheaper than the $0.15 it must cost to manufacture in China. Definately not worth the $8.00 price.
