My first DAC and so far I'm loving it!
On a small fling I ordered one of these as I've seen some USB-C DACs for silly money, upon arrival I was surprised by it's tiny size (I must have thought the headphone jack was a 1/4" one, no... it's a 3.5mm one) and super easy to setup on my Windows 10 laptop! The build quality is high and looks like it could survive getting a drop from a desk no problem (don't test this though) Did feel like having to add the rubber feet was a bit fiddly, and might swap out for some "dual lock" velcro in future for assured non-slippingHaving a physical dial to adjust the volume is something I really appreciate having now, and though it's not powered anything bigger than 32 ohms so far, it's powerful and makes music/audio super crisp and punchy and I am already looking at some 120 ohms options in the future!I do recommend this to folks who are in the market for a starter DAC, as I think I'll be using it for years to come!

Loud
Works for intended purpose. It’s clear and can go very loud if needed.

Good price and volume control
Good price and volume control, but didn’t improve my sound much. I have 250ohm headset and this DAC doesn’t change the sound much, perhaps if you have 250ohm headset I would suggest more powerful DAC

Let's Get Technical.....
I had wanted to try a DAC with headphone amp such as this FiiO E10K C for a while but was wary of false claims by some of the manufacturers who seem to enjoy reinventing the laws of physics.. However I took the plunge and so far I'm very impressed. I own a variety of in ear monitors and over ear headphones and it appears to improve the sound of all the ones I've tried compared to my phone or laptop (my IEMs and headphones vary from a claimed nominal 20 ohm to 250 ohm). I suspect the improvement is mainly due to a more sophisticated design of audio amplifier in the E10K C that copes better with awkward impedances and stays linear over more of the power range. When I say 'awkward' this means the mix of resistance and reactance which makes up the impedance of headphones or IEMs can vary considerably, being very resistive at some points of the audio frequency curve and highly reactive at others. The audio amp chip in the average laptop or phone only costs a few pennies so there is plenty of room for improvement if a manufacturer such as FiiO is willing to spend a bit more and they seem to have done this.I'm not qualified to judge whether using different Digital to Analog Convertors can vary the quality of the sound much; having learnt my electronics in a pre-digital age - but using a good quality DAC chip must also help. In conclusion Highly Recommended!

Remarkable at the price.
Am another in the throng of people driving 'inappropriate' headphones with this - in my case a pair of old, 300 Ohm impedance HD650s. And it does an incredible job of it, driving them to realistic levels without problem or complaint, regardless of musical style and with great fidelity. Can't speak to the issues people have with the USB C connector as mine is firmly affixed to the top of my desktop computer and isn't going anywhere. YMMV.Pretty much plug in and play, aside from downloading and installing their ASIO driver from Fiio's website which was simple enough. Oh, you'll have to put the sticky feet on yourself. The horror. Are there better DAC/amps for driving this sort of load? Almost certainly but I'm not in any hurry given the performance of this little box (and it is unfeasibly tiny, much smaller even than the images suggest).Recommended!

Excellent value for money
Drives my HD560s perfectly with enough volume to mess with EQ as I want - when I feel like it - and a handy bass switch. Great entry level for the £.

Small but mighty DAC/AMP
Had the Schiit Audio Hel 2E but it broke after 3 years usage, this was the replacement.USB-C power has plenty of juice to drive my Moondrop Kato, Moondrop Variations and even my HD660S.

Fantastic DAC, temperamental
Really good DAC, I like the bass and gain switches, which enhance the sound a bit depending on the music - they are subtle but effective. My issue is with the USB cable, it is awful and started randomly disconnecting the DAC after about 2 months of useNot a bad DAC, but I recommend shopping for another. See below.Update: 3 Months on, using the 2nd of this DAC I have. This DAC has big issues connecting - It randomly disconnects. Very frustrating - It is a shame because it is a fantastic DAC. The website for the drivers is genuinely terrible, and even when you add the drivers they just mess things up further. My advice if you have bought this DAC - stick with win10/11 auto drivers. My advice if you have not - buy a different DAC, the disconnects ruin this DAC for me unfortunately.

Sonido y conectividad

Wasn't sure at first
A friend recommended I get a dac for my headphones, sennheiser HD280 Pros. At first I wasn't sure if I could tell a difference but going back and forth makes it clear that their is a significant improvement over the onboard audio. The bass boost for these headphones is a great feature as they are known to lack boomy lows for better or worse. This dac makes me want to spend money on even better headphones.

Amazing quality
Very easy to set up, night and day difference for audio especially in FPS games rather than plugging direct into motherboard - highly would recommend

Also alles im Lot.
