Great idea in concept - how long have these makers been sitting in a warehouse?
I love the idea of these markers, and yes, it does take a while to get used to how they work. I hesitated due to the many frustrated reviews about dried out pens, or too much paint at once or too little. I bought them on a sale day and will keep playing with them. Trying to find out about them led me to Jetpens website/store where I learned a lot watching their short video's of how to use products for those of us who have an addiction to art pens, etc. We know who we are! On each Amazon page for an item there is an area where they list when that item was first available to buy, this page listed 2011. I buy a LOT of coloring books, art supplies, and books from Amazon, but I have learned to check Jetpens as I know that they carry a much smaller amount of great art and stationary supplies at a time and are bound to be fresher/newer from the manufacturer. I did get a great buy here when the Chromatek watercolor markers first arrived here, the 52 color set, excellent and "fresh" watercolor markers. You have to have patience and look around for help as these products have Japanese or another language directions, once I figured it out I am very happy.

Zig has yet to let me down. I love the sparkle and nice rich color of these.
I really like Zig markers. They have never failed me. I am using these to color on card-stock for my grand children. Disney has a website where you can download printable's for birthday parties, I am working on Frozen themed wall hanging for all three grandbabies. I tried glitter with glue, a big huge mess; so glitter markers it is. These are working better for me then a set I got at the craft store for 12.50, and that was the half off price. I have noticed that the ink is not as dark as I like, so I was having to put on 2-3 coats of ink. That is a waste of ink, so I found a black sharpie, colored in the space, and put the Zig Black Glitter over the sharpie and it was perfect for what I needed. I noticed that the black was starting to dry out, I thought that is not possible, these are Zig; they last forever. I read on a blog that you shake them real good before use and then use the maker. I did not know. I shake the marker for a good minute or two and it worked just fine. I really love Zig makers. I have only used the black makers in the past but I am finding that these color markers are exactly what I was looking for. I don't mind that I have to color with a sharpie or another marker first, because I am wanting deep intense colors. I would like these markers even more, and buy every one of them if they came with a bigger tip. The fine pointed tip makes it hard for me to color in large areas, but that is my choice.Updated review 12/162016:I am disappointed in these markers. The silver was used 2-3 times and the sparkle is gone in it. The clear has gone dry, granted I have used it alot but no more then the pink or blue. They are still functioning. I was going to buy another set of these markers, and I have now changed my mind. I am going to look for another brand that will hold up better and not go dry as fast. I expected more out of these markers, they are Zig, that use to mean something.

5 of 12 dry.. cannot return..not happy
Well since I’m not able to return this item I’ll write my review with that in mind. I’m giving them 2 stars based off the fact that almost half of these pens were dry AND This is not the quality I’m used to when purchasing a Zig product. However these were a gift from my husband. I love the Zig brand name as you do get what you pay for when dealing with these types of products and I have a massive collection of their products and have NEVER been disappointed so with that being said, I’m almost positive that the quality with these pens is directly related to how amazon stores these pens before shipment or how long they’ve been sitting there.5 out of the 12 pens were dry upon receipt. I am a crafty person and have a massive art supply arsenal of pens, markers, etc etc from every brand imaginable. I store them in very particular manner, all laying down in cubby holes, never vertical. Nothing ruins a good pen or marker faster than improperly storing them. So I usually can tell if they’ve been stored improperly before I get them and it’s almost Like these have been stored incorrectly and they have been sitting on their shelves for two years, maybe old stock? I don’t know but they are not synonymous with Zig quality at all.I’m not happy but like I stated, they were a gift from my husband so I guess I’ll be happy with the 7 pens that are functioning. I Will not purchase a replacement on amazon as this seems to be an issue reading the other reviews. So I’ll purchase locally, from the mom and pop store where I can test them first. Just be aware if you’re going to purchase these that you may end up with several dry pens. If you’re ok with that then go for it, I’m not ok with spending money only to receive half of a working set of Pens.

Best Shimmer Marker
I *might* have an addiction to pens and markers. I love hand-lettering and hand writing letters, so they definitely get plenty of use.One picture in my review is of the ink in sunlight (dark background), though the photo doesn't do the actual sparkle any justice. My first Wink of Stella was the gold and I was amazed by the shimmer. One stroke and I knew I needed the whole set. They're sparkly and gorgeous. The markers have a hard tip and a .8 mm line. They're perfect for writing and do a great job of filling in spaces, as long as you have the patience for doing it with a smaller tip. They are wet, though, so too much in one spot and it can tear through thin paper.I highly recommend these if you like a breathtaking shine in your writing.

Lovely markers! Here's a trick you can try!
Oh these markers are fun! I use them for my doodles, my coloring books and for my journal. They have a fine point and are able to color in the tiniest of details. I love that the clear one came with this set because you can use that over the top of other markers or colored pencils and it will add pretty sparkles to any color! I also have a neat trick I will share with you to make beautiful gradients. Choose a light and dark color, like say purple and pink. Hold both pens vertically (dark color on top, light color below) and touch the purple tip to the pink tip for about 10 seconds and then color with the pink. It will start out as purple and as you continue to color it will go from purple to pink in lovely gradient shades. So cool!

I really miss a nice solid red for instance
Lovely glittery pens. But although the colours are as described I find the range a little lacking. I really miss a nice solid red for instance. It's a shame because otherwise they would be perfect for some glittery Yule colouring. I like what they have - I just want more.

Very dissapointed.
I find they are not easy to get a good coverage as the nibs are very fine and solid. They were just packed in a padded envelope which was adequate but as the cost of P&P was £3, I was thought this was very much OTT>
