Trend MS/PRO Multiscribe Pro Marking Tool

Bought this as a multitool for doing various jobs around the house. We've just had an extension built and, post decorating, are putting back about 20 sockets of one kind or another (electric, TV, speakers etc.), so in addition to scribing, I thought I could use this as a torpedo level for making sure the sockets were put back on straight/level. That's not going to happen with this tool. The spirit level is so far out of true that it's unusable. We've a kitchen fitter installing the kitchen units at the moment and he's like 'Stabilo Man'. He must have about a dozen spirit levels with him, all top of the range. I've tested this tool against these levels and the surfaces he's levelled off. The bubble is barely in between the lines at all. Way out. To double check it wasn't just the way the level block was seated in the tool I removed it and checked it separately. Exactly the same degree of error!.The tool feels solid and well finished in to be honest, but when on major feature is so far out of true, I can't give it more than a single star.

Very clever an easy to use tool for when you need to scribe work. It’s got a built in sharpener which is really helpful some times especially when you need a sharp pencil to mark your work to get a really accurate guide. Great tool to have at a reasonable price. It’s quite heavy to which is always a good sign because it says quality! (well to me it does)

Whilst a practical product, it does have one major flaw and that is the sharp edges of the metal V guide scratch the surface you are scribing against. Unsuitable for finishing work.

Great bit of kit easy to set and use not 100% accurate but about 99% so good for most people for most uses well worth the money have used it a lot more than I ever thought I would if you like diy you will definitely like this item

I use it for scribing and marking timber at work.
