Good little scanner, that does alot more.
Before I purchase this, I did alot of search and read the review here. Which there is alot of bad review, but on youtube it show good review. So I go with youtube review n buy 1. And guess what people, it did what it mean to do. I buy this because not only for OBD purpose, but for immobilizer reason due to a bad remote on my 2011 Pilot. And like I said it work like a charm. I had find out there are 4 key associated with my car, so I had earase all and reprogram 2 key, 1 with remote, follow on screen instructions on my phone, and in no time I got my 2 key working. I mean it work, thanks to the youtube people show me it work n I buy. Please don't listen to the review here, as they probably don't know what they doing, or just buy the product, use it n returned it and say not good. Trust me on this people!!

Doesn't offer full functionality
Why would anyone get this device (a dongle that allows an app to access your car's OBD system) instead of an actual OBD2 code reader that you can get for half the price? Because the AP2500 is supposed to be able to do full and customizable scans of of all the codes (ABS, SRS, etc.) not just the generic DTC's. Bottom line is it doesn't. I called Autel tech support and they said this item was sold from someone not licensed by Autel. Check Autel's website for legitimate places to get this device if you want one.

Sees A LOT for the money
One car subscription is free the rest you pay for yearly (like 20-30 bucks) HAS to be online to use though… App can be finicky sometimes. Doesn’t do any bidirectional functions but you can see live data and codes for every module in the car- not just the check engine light

Disappointed not true AP200 upgrade
I mistakenly believed this AP2500 unit would handle IMMO key fobs for a mini cooper like the original AP200 19 function unit. Was the main reason for purchasing. Works as reader with reduced service set. Interface is easy. Connected quickly. I'll keep it, as my last ODBC reader was loaned out, never to return. Haven't tried it with my other vehicles yet. Appears to require additional $22 in app purchase for each additional vehicle.

It’s a powerful tool
it is a small but powerful tool, come with 19 specific functions, including oil reset, EPB, BMS, SAS, DPF, IMMO etc. use it with your cell phone, very convenient. AutoVin could automatically detect your vehicle info. for this price, it's good enough

This is a must have!!!! Especially for a Civic Type R owner, it makes rear brake pad replacement sooo much easier!

Fails to recognize new keys to program.
Bought this and never got any use from it since it never worked properly. Bought a unprogramed key from Toyota and was not able to program with this tool.

I use for all cars. You have to buy others makers 22usd per year. You can get 1 make for free lifetime
