Benji the Bear exceeded my expectations. Not only is the plushie super soft, but it also smells amazing! I love how it is reversible and each side depicts a different emotion. I am a first grade teacher, and plan to have Benji located in my class “calm down corner.” My students can use Benji to cuddle when they have big feelings, or they can use him to non-verbally show me how they are feeling by flipping the sides. I am excited to have this tool for my students next year and would definitely recommend!

He also smells great which is awesome for using their sense of smell to help calm down too. Hands down this little guy is great and so much fun! They love turning it inside out and looking at the sad and happy faces.

The media could not be loaded. This was the cutest little plush bear that I have seen! It smelled like berry on the "happy" side and chocolate on the "sad" side. I use this bear for students who are sometimes nonverbal in my classroom and my mother who loves to flip the bear on its sad side when she is upset at something! It's a great way to tell someone's mood without them actually having to talk! I love the scents and it is so small it fits in the palm of an adult hand!

Benji is a good buddy, he is small enough that he can be easily taken on car rides. His flip ability displays two different emotions happy polar bear or sad brown bear. It is a great toy for non verbal or shy kids to quietly tell their parents how they are feeling. The packaging is great and it can be presentable as a gift. These are a few things that are best about Benji. On the flip side, Benjis face is embroidered but the ears and paws are printed. Benji also smells… he smells good, but smell is strong, like a combination of chocolate and marshmallows. The nice thing is Benji came in a ziplock bag, so if his smell is too overwhelming he can be stored inside the bag. I’m assuming the smell will fade over time. There isn’t a clear description of his smell on the bag or hang tags, it just mentioned that he “smells good.” If you like bears 🐻‍❄️ 🐻 are nonverbal or need help communicating your feelings, or like the smell of s’mores, then I recommend this. If you aren’t feeling it - there are other comparable or slightly better toys in this price range. I’m also not sure how educational benji is. I’m sure you could come up with a game for him, but there is no animal information or facts about polar bears or brown bears and I feel like that is a missed opportunity.

My students and I absolutely ADORE benji the bear! He also smells just like yummy candy! I put him on my classroom desk and use him to let the kids know how they’re doing for the day. It’s such an easy yet simple indicator that they look out for, and it’s especially nice because I don’t have to waste my breath telling the kids that I’m not happy with their behavior, they can easily see it if benji is turned over. If the kids are doing great again, I’ll let one of the kids turn him over and they get so excited to do so! He’s become such a great addition to our class!

Okay this is the cutest thing! I’m a classroom teacher and I love puppets so I was looking for a few things to add to what we already have. He doesn’t have to be used as a puppet but it works well for how we use them. As Benji can be flipped to show different emotions, this is perfect for us because we use our puppets when talking about how we’re feeling during circle times and during our language classes. So the children loved that feature plus the smell. I wasn’t sure how they’d respond but that was honestly a big deal for them! I think it makes for a great comfort toy. They love Benji!!!!

This bear was not even out of the package before it caught the eye of one of my students. Benji is the perfect addition to the calm down spot in my classroom. My students are attracted to him because he is cute and smells good. He is perfect for helping students share their feelings when they can't or do not want to use their words. Sometimes we all need a little help switching from being sad to feeling better and Benji is the perfect plushie to help this process along.

I usually give my students books as gifts, but I wanted to switch it up a bit and find more fun gifts. I came across benji and purchased it as a birthday gift. It's adorable, it's soft and it's smells incredible. I love that it's small enough to throw, but still big enough to cuddle. I can see myself buying more fun things from everyday educate.
