I threw a bridal shower for a Jane Austen fan and this was on her registry. I ordered it along with a cookbook stand for a cute bundled gift.

I bought this cookbook for my sister for Christmas! She loves it!

Ahead of cooking for a book club Jane Austin tea I ordered a few books from Amazon and other sources to add to my tea party collection. This one is my favourite, with solid, not always historical, recipes in a variety of categories. I recommend it.

I love the book as far as its an interesting read but, the the first recipe I tried was bland and disappointing. Will try one more recipe and if the same result I will be donating the book.

If you're looking for authentic Regency-era recipes this isn't the book for you. These are more "Austen-inspired" than "things the characters might have actually eaten.Also, the author seems somewhat unfamiliar with the plots of the novels. See my photo for one example - Lydia Bennet and Mr Wickham never went to Scotland. That's half the scandal!
