Works good..smells a bit. UPDATE: Smell went a way, still works!
Overall works as well as the original bulb. But has a bit of a burnt smell while working. It still didn't go away after a few uses (about 6 movies) . Hope the smell will go away. Will update.Update 2022: Smell went away after couple of uses and it still works good after 3 years!

Amazing, while it lasts...
I've gone through two of these now in just a couple of months. Luckily, I had time to return the first one. Wasn't so lucky the second time. Both swapped in easy enough and produced beautiful, bright pictures. Unfortunately, neither lasted more than a month or so before the dreaded red-light-of-doom appeared on my W1070.If you just need a quick fix or don't run your projector for long at a time, this may work for you. But, if you're looking for a workhorse bulb that will produce many hours of glorious projection, look elsewhere. Sometimes you've just got to pony up for OEM as you get what you pay for.

10mos/1000+hrs in, and still going strong!
10mos and 1000+hrs in, and still going strong! I didnt notice a difference in color or sharpness from the OE. Installed easily (even while fixed to the ceiling!).Seems reviews are mixed so its possible Im one of the luckier ones, but worth a shot if youre on the fence. Also, most people that have good experiences aren’t likely leaving reviews and just enjoying it. Had a friend ask about my experience so i looked it up for the link. Worst case you return and spend significantly more on the Benq (the 6mos warranty this comes with is comforting).
