Aqui es importante decir que la aplicacion que hemos hecho con los Heaters y Dado su wattage....fueron instalados en drenajes de Walk in freezers DRAIN PIPES 3/4 con la colocacion de un defrost disc 40/60 para evitar sobrecalentamiento de linea y/o insulacion.

Installed in a new freezer door we manufacture bench tested for a minute seemed good. Installed on a job within a couple of minutes it was smoking bad then stopped. Disassembled stainless frame wire melted at factory splice. Stripped back braided wrapper and connected test leads powered up and all the exposed wire started smoking and melted my alligator clip.if you have good insurance I recommend this product

Installed this heat strip and a new gasket. Checked voltage and it is 110v as specified. Strip runs way to hot and burned the $120 gasket to the freezer door. I used an IR thermometer and it was putting out 151 degrees to the metal frame at the point where the damage took place. This is a fire hazard and a defective product. DO NOT BUY!!

We purchased 2 of these for our walk in freezer door. Within 60 seconds the wire reached a temperature so high the wire itself started to smoke. We immediately removed the power and the wire was impossible to touch for 5 minutes. Following this outcome we performed a bench test with both sets of wires and confirmed they had a 110vac supply. It was found that both sets rapidly heated to the point of smoking. We have not yet installed the wire due to fear of it causing a fire.

For the price, you simply cannot beat it! Works great and $70 cheaper than ordering from SS Kemp, FMP or Etundra. The only downside is it was shipped in the box, not in a nice and neat coil like the $120 one have been so it was a pain to get all the knots and kinks out. It also did not come with the metal tape the $120 version from other suppliers includes. Update: heater just stopped working after 2 months can't seem to find contact info for return.
