The best on-demand water heater for the money!
I purchased and I nstalled the Shower 8 Plus 55,000 BTU and it fired right up immediately and I had hot water within seconds. It’s a self contained unit that includes the high pressure relief valve. The only external part’s considerations you will need to make are the 1/2”” water inlet and outlets and the 5/8” male gas fitting that is on the back of the unit. My advice is to buy two flexible 1/2” faucet lines that include the 1/4 turn shut off valves on one end and 1/2” shark bite connection on the other end. Simply cut your existing 1/2” PEX lines in the appropriate locations and slip the two new flexible lines on and tight by hand the other end onto the inlet and outlet of the water heater. The shutoff valves will allow you to be able to shut off both water lines in case you need to service and flush the unit without having to shut off water to your entire RV. The electrical is self explanatory and uses a 12V positive and a negative/ground. The included digital controller uses two small wires that connect to the two blue wires on the back of the unit and it doesn’t matter which way you terminate the blue wires to the controller. Make sure you clean the outside mating surfaces before attaching the twelve screws on the outside of your RV and use new butyl tape and/or a good marine sealant to prevent leaks. Inside where your water heater sits screw down a couple pieces of wood snug on each side of the unit to help keep it stable so it won’t tend to shift when your RV is going down the road. That will prevent stress on the outside mating surface during transports. Overall I’m super satisfied with this water heater. I run the temp at 109 degrees and it’s perfect. It runs very quiet. You will have hot water when the electricity is out or if boondocking. Propane is cheaper than electricity and this unit is more efficient than older units and tank water heaters. It’s definitely worth the investment if you are on the fence just know that it’s a high quality product that is well put together with quality parts and materials. Fogatti customer service is better than other companies so that’s another reason to buy from this company. I threw my 100% working Suburban tank water heater straight in the trash bin and didn’t look back. I didn’t shed one tear and I threw it like an angry gorilla! I can now have continuous hot water!

Good product!!
Works well and easy to use!! Easy to install and operates quietly. Quality of the product seems about right for the price. Temperature control works well and the water flow is good. Definitely very useful hot water heater.

Showers Are Great Now!
During a cross country trip the 10 gal tank style water heater in our RV developed a small leak. Fortunately it leaked to the outside & not inside. Was trying to decide if I wanted to replace it w/ an identical 10 gal or up size to a 12 gal tank style unit. Then I started looking at the tankless style as an alternative & saw the Fogatti 55,000 BTU model. It had good reviews & seemed to have the features I wanted, so I decided to buy it. It's smaller than the original 10 gal tank style heater, i.e. height, width & depth, and it weighs less. I think the height & width are the same as 6 gal tank style heaters. Installation was pretty straight forward once I figured out which wires were the 12VDC power in the RV. Since the Fogatti is smaller than my original heater I had install some filler/trim strips to make the existing opening smaller. It does require some minimum water flow to start so restrictors may have to be removed from some faucets. Also some small on-board 12VDC water pumps may not supply enough flow for the heater to start. Overall it turned out very well. As soon as you turn on a hot water faucet the heater starts & within a several seconds hot water starts to come out. And will continue to come out! Taking a normal length shower is a real pleasure now. I'm glad I decided to go the tankless route vs replacing w/ an identical tank style heater.

Perfect for PARK camping
My wife and I replaced our atwood 6 gallon hot water heater on our winnebago RV. Being that it is a motorhome, there was an added coolant line intended to heat water while driving...that had to be bypassed prior to install (nothing on the manufacturer but keep in mind if you have a motorhome) Install was very simple and only required a couple of 1/2" PEX to 1/2" NPT female fittings, and moving the 3/8" propane line brackets slightly. Writing this after using for almost 3 months and it is a blessing! Hot showers as long as you want, great heat to flow ratio and it's hot almost as soon as the pipe water is circulated, plus about 10 seconds. As long as you're connected to city water, this is the ticket! We have also saved a LOT of propane not wasting it to keep a tank hot all day/night. Only using the propane on demand has made 40lbs of propane last what seems like a year, whereas before it lasted 45 days at most. The built on control panel allows you to change top end temp and auto shuts down if there is a pilot flame out, making it safer and more reliable. If you live on tanks often, you may be disappointed with how much water you'll waste to get hot water. It doesn't stay on well with the HW valve less than half flow, meaning you need higher flow just to keep it on. Turning off the valve or shower head to save water doesn't work well either because as soon as it senses less flow, it switches off and begins cool down. Not a water saver, but a propane saver for sure.

Planned obsolescence
Be prepared! A month after the 3 yr warranty ended, this unit crashed. It started with it not lighting and then a complete crash and does nothing when powered on. I have spent the last to months try to get fogatti to replace it or send parts to fix it. The first guy I spoke with was great and was calling me back to try and help, I think his name was John. But after it left his hands, customer service has not been impressive. Finally after figuring out that they entered my email incorrectly, I received an email saying they could sell me the parts I need to fix it, at a discounted price.

So much better than my 35 year old Suburban 10 gallon. Park has 40psi water pressure which is more than enough. Trailer did not have 12v, only 115v so bought a power supply from Canadian tire meant for a cooler. Amp draw on heater is 2.5A. Half inch water and gas connections, I did not have to modify to install. Simply swap the 90 degree elbows for water, the gas screws right on. The heater is small with the body being approx 13"x13". I did not buy the larger door but re-framed the opening. Install instructions say not to place directly on a combustible surface so stuck a ceramic tile underneath. Control panel wires are fairly long at approx 6ft but power supply wires only about 12 inches. Panel itself does very little, can power unit on/off and change water temp. Panel displays water temp and indicates when heater is on. Heater fired right up after turning on faucet for first time, probably 7 seconds to get hot water at kitchen sink directly above heater. Water heat settings go from 95 to125 deg. Set ours at 110 deg which means we can take a hot shower by just turning on the the hot tap full without mixing any cold. Heater has winter mode which simply turns on heater intermittently to keep water temp above freezing. Heater has built in pressure relief valve with a manual drain located behind door so no need to run drain hose thru floor of trailer. Manual says heater will time-out after 20 minutes continued use, more than enough. Only two complaints are price and the fact that you can't choose which size door you get when you buy heater. Let's see if this one lasts 35 years.

Experienced a non functioning unit upon install, tech directed us to check voltages and found faulty part within minutes. Within two days a replacement part was sent... On a weekend! Fantastic service, and quality appears very high. Will update once heater working, but install was easy and took very little time. Update: controller fixed issue, heater works amazingly well!

Phenominal so far, super easy to install. Fired right up, and ridiculosly quiet, I had to double check it was running. The fan does speed up during the cooling cycle, but still super quiet. Endless hot water in the shower, People have said it takes longer for hot water to reach the tap, in my case it's quicker than the old 6 gallon Dometic. Would absolutley recommend, puting one of these units in, especially for full time living.

It's a great product. One problem with the latter production of this heater is with the relief valve. At 50 PSI the relief releases and won't stop leaking. The earlier models didn't have that problem. It's one of the best on demand heaters on the market for recreational market.

The unit was properly installed and worked great. Was completely drained before winter and our first-time up at the cottage. The core is split open so the unit doesn't completely drain what a waste of money for a one time use product so disappointed
