Roomy compartments in a convenient package
The compartments are sufficiently roomy. In one compartment I fit nine pills of assorted sizes, including two and a half large tablets, three average caplets, and three round tablets with a little room to spare. The compartments snap shut very securely. On the downside, you're not going to be popping them open easily with one hand, but I consider that an advantage since I don't want them spilling open on accident. I do not have arthritis, so I don't know if that would be a concern. There are four compartments per day, and they are marked for morning, noon, evening, and bedtime. At first this confused my dad, because he thought he had to administer the meds at those times. Our actual dose schedule does not exactly match. If you are using this with a person who gets confused easily, it might be best to use stickers or something to put the right times on the compartment lids. Also, the imprinting is molded into the plastic in the same color, which can be difficult to see for some. The days are only imprinted on one end of the container. My dad cleverly uses this to tell which ones are empty by turning them over. The lid makes a convenient place to dump out a dose of pills when it's time to administer them. When boxed up, this makes very efficient use of space. It's only about as big as a stack of CDs. Although we don't use it, the center is a round space large enough for a bottle of pills, which is nice to have. UPDATE: Just worth a mention... when using the center for an extra pill bottle, it can prevent the lid from fitting on properly. The center of the lid hits the top of the pill bottle, so it kind of teeters on top instead of snapping on. Not a huge issue.

Super high-quality design for what it does
I've been easing myself slowly over the last several years into a semi-serious fitness regime. i've found that over the years I'm taking more and more supplements. Vitamins, herbals, oil's, pre and post workout sups. I think I'm up to about 11 or 12 for the day now. I'm a big proponent of form and function meeting each other halfway and I wanted an organizer they didn't look like I was fresh out of the hospital, All clinical and not exactly aesthetically pleasing. And obviously, managing space is an issue as my wife allows me one shelf in one cupboard to store all of my supplements.Well after combing through many options on Amazon, I settled on this from the higher than normal review aggregate. I took the plunge and ordered it as I really liked the cylindrical form factor as opposed to a big plank of plastic cells. I absolutely love it. I was able to consolidate all of my plethora of daily supplements into multiply separated per day bars that fit into a sealable cylinder Just slightly bigger than a can of soup. All of the bars have embossed lettering so as not to have fading/peeling paint over time. The lids to each of the individual compartments (of which there are five on each bar) are conveniently labeled with day of the week on the end (which faces up in cylinder), and the time of day on the lids of each compartment (morning, noon, evening and bed). The hinges on each bars lids are just about the most well thought out design for their purpose that I can think of, ball and socket hinges, which I imagine offer The absolute barest of wear and tear that you could get away with I think. The plastic seems of really high quality as well. My only criticism (hence 4 stars rather than 5) and it's more of a critique, is A suggestion that the lid on the large cylindrical container have a simple twist anchor to keep it more securely fastened. It's been dislodged a few times simply from moving it around within the cabinet. It would fall right off if someone were to pick it up by the lid. And it would be really functional if there was a bit of texture or ribbing on the side of the container to make it more graspable.Other than those two points which don't hamper my very positive impression, I'm very impressed and would suggest it to anyone that has to manage a drugstore in their supplement/vitamin cabinet, and wants something that doesn't make you look like you are fresh out of an institution with some horrible ailment. Please bear in mind, that if or when I were ever fresh out of an institution with some horrible ailment, I would be wanting to use this pill organizer so as not to look like I was fresh out of an institution with some horrible ailment. Just sayin :)

Pretty good pill case.
I wish it held a full month like my old flat case did but this 2 week/1 week unit works great. I'm a long haul truck driver and spend 5 days on the road, so I'm back home weekly to be able to reload this unit easily. I like how well the little individual lids snap down and stay closed until you pry them open.I just wish they made the clear lid that covers all the pill cases snapped down and stayed in place as well as the pill cases do. There is no snap closed fitting at all for this. It just sits on there to keep the dust out. No child proofing. If you move the case in and out of a travel bag, you have to dig down under the pill case and pull the whole unit out. Also, if you put a standard size extra pill bottle in the round middle area the lid won't sit on the pill case at all and sort of wobbles on top of the added pill bottle because the thumb and finger pull area in the middle of the clear plastic top rests on top of the added pill bottle. I use a thick rubber band to keep the pill case lid on the unit, because if you don't and the case gets turned over in your travel bag, you'll discover all your blue daily pill sleaves have fallen around your travel bag. Not to much of a problem though as the Mon - Sun is easily read and the daily pill sleaves go back together easily. Luckily the blue lids lock down pretty well and your pills will still be in the sleaves.I just imagine a plane trip where the bags are thrown around by the baggage handlers.
