They get the job done
They aren't high speed but they work. I would have preferred it, if they were blued or coated in some way. The picked up a lot of finger print surface rust. Easily rubbed off with and oiled cloth but still annoying.

Excellent Product
I have used these punches for two projects now and they worked well. They are strong and leave nice diamond holes. Having looked at many cheaper punches that have reviews that questioned their durability, I found this set without any bad reviews and took a chance. So far so great. I will say that they are a bit hard to extract from the leather and I used some WD-40 prior to punching to make it easier. I would recommend any light duty machine oil if you don't have WD-40 around. The only negative is the tools are a bit short. Would be nicer to have another inch. Also, I do think they will rust so using oil will prevent that.

Thickness of the prongs
I've used these a few times now. So far so good. I would not use these on thin leather, the chisel is much thicker than American made ones (which is what I compared it to in the pic on the right). It leaves too big of a hole since prongs are so thick. The whole set is made of the thicker prongs. I've used it on thicker stone oiled leather & these are fine for that application.

Nice product
Tools work very well, I only gave it 4 stars because the packaging they were enclosed in was greasy. I read of a review someone else gave for a tooling item that came directly from China that had grease all on it. Can't seem to figure out what purpose the grease serves.

So Far So Good
It's what I was looking for and thus far works fine. This is my first time owning this type of tool but the quality appears sturdy.

strong, sharp and works well
sturdy tools that are sharp and do a great job of punching thread holes in a variety of leather types and thicknesses. Resulting stitches looked very clean and professional. I would recommend these tools to any other person doing leather stitching.

Marking tools, not punches
Not for punching through thick or multiple pieces of leather, such as for the making of sheaths or wallets. Prongs are not shaped or constructed for this and get stuck in a very frustrating fashion! I now use them to mark the spacing of holes and use a drill press. Just know what your buying...
