I had a recording session ruined recently by a loose cable running from my 8-string’s input jack to its volume pot. Rather than panic I jumped on here to see if I could find a budget-friendly soldering iron that would ship via Prime (gotta get back to writing ya know?!). This unit fit the bill, had decent reviews and came in my bare minimum wattage of 40w so I decided to roll the dice.The kit got here super quickly and came with everything I would need for any basic wiring jobs; plenty of extra tips, a stand, a cleaning sponge and plenty of solder and paste to last me a good while. The unit is easy to work and helped me get my guitar back into shreddin’ shape in next to no time. The only complaint I have with the unit itself is the text size on the temp read out, super duper small but nowhere near a deal breaker.For twelve bucks this thing saved me a lot of grief and a pricey trip to the luthier. If you have similar small-scale hobby jobs that require occasional soldering I don’t think you could do better for the price!

Honestly, I am impressed with the quality of the product. I did not know what to expect when I ordered and I am really happy with it! It is really useful and for the cost. I am really pleased.

I purchased this iron to continue soldering at home, it comes with everything you need, only reason I gave it a 4 because the stand is meh but for the price it's hard to beat. I was able to use it to practice and even desolder and resolder my mouses encoder.

Works well and is easy to use. This is a great value for occassional use.

I ordered this to reflow solder joints on my truck's instrument cluster circuit board. When it arrived, I wasn't visually impressed and hoped I could muddle through with it. The reality was just the opposite.I've worked in electronics 40+ years using everything from crap soldering irons to the best costing several hundreds of dollars. This is one of the better ones. Using the small conical tip that came installed in it, it handled 0603 resistors and caps, SOT-23 packages, and large ground terminals easily and accurately.The only deviations I noted was that it does not come to temperature in 15 seconds. More like 3 minutes to heat fully for proper soldering. Also, the little stand and sponge are inadequate. But, hey, it was $10.

It takes a while for it to heat up but once it does it works perfectly.

Used this to burn the lace off material and it worked well

I bought this to make drainage holes in containers for potting up plants. Since I can't change the tips, that's all it's good for. If you're looking for a good soldering iron, buy a better one. But if you just need it to melt plastic, it does the job well.

Very handy, complete kit with pouch for easy transportation, including everything necessary, easy to use, and work as described.Quality is ok, but at that price, worth for occasional home use.

It's a cheap Soldering Iron Kit perfect for people who want to do small jobs or just want to play around with soldering but it does feel cheap and I know it will one day just stop working but right now it works fine and does the job.
