Midori Traveler's Notebook (refill 003) blank

Beautiful pages and ink does not bleed through I use these for my journaling love love !

Nice paper for fountain pens. 64 pages isn't a lot, but you can only stuff so much into a Midori Traveler's Notebook. Nice for sketching, but this isn't the kind you'll want to attempt ink washes or watercolor with. You'll need the thicker blank paper for that.

I've gone through several different brands of refills for my vintage journaling, mainly because other brands sell multiple refills for the same, or a fraction less, than the Midori TN do. Although you only get one refill for the price, I believe it's completely worth the money. I beat up my TNs and this is the first refill I've gotten that hasn't broken apart at the staples once all of the pages are completed. Highly recommend!

I love these little books. OF COURSE it fits perfectly into my Field Notes Midori. Further, I did a study of the pages inside specifically for artists. How much punishment will the pages endure? What can you use with these, want do you want to stay away from? Here's what I found out: Posca Pens, no bleedthrough, no other problems, at all; Sharpie Fine Point pen, heavy bleedthrough, even through to the next page! Not a good choice for this book. Watercolor: NO BLEEDTHROUGH! some wrinkling of the paper, basically goes away when dry. Acrylic paints: no problems. However, filling the book up with acrylic paints would probably not be wise; they are too heavy overall for this little book. But it is happy that one can use them here and there in the book. All of the basic refills (001 to 005) just have fantastic paper quality. Fountain pen ink (even wet ones like the Pilot inks) don't run, bleed through, or feather. Dry time is about 1-10 seconds depending on the ink. The paper feels light, a tiny bit glossy, and are a fairly nice eggshell white color.

The paper quality is excellent. Very little bleed through from my Lamy All Star Fountain Pen; really only where I've used a bit too much ink. Very pleased with the quality.

These inserts are perfect for me! I love to sketch and use ink and light watercolor washes and these handle both to my satisfaction. The paper will ripple some but that is not a problem foe an art journal to capture daily thoughts, favorite sayings and verses, or out and about happenings!

Always enjoy this quality paper from the Travelers journal company. Will definitely order again.
