Adjustable Silicone Pie Crust Shields - Baking Protectors Cover Pie Edge, Fit 8-11.4 Inch Pies

Excellent for pie crusts and work as described. I ended up cutting a little off the end though because these can easily fit a very large pie crust and I will never need them that big! Great product!

I have been cooking pies for years and have to put tinfoil on the edge of the crust to avoid burning. Unfortunately, I would end up burning my fingers, a lot of the times to place the foil. This product was so easy, all I had to do was wrap it around the pie dish And I was done with no burns. Quick and easy!

We used this on a large pie, 9”+, with an Anchor hocking glass dish. It mostly fit around the crust, which was good, but came off several times during the final tests to see if the pumpkin pie was set (Poke test). Finished pie was a bit well done on the edges/crust, but we only put it on after the first 15 minutes of baking at. 425°F (Libby recipe). I think it will do fine to keep it from burning if it’s put on right when the pie goes in.The main issue is the tab, and each notch that it fits into: They are both small and the fit is rather loose, and when everything gets hot, good luck reattaching the two edges, especially inside the oven. Sliding it out to re-attach, and then sliding the pie back in ALSO knocked it loose. Several times. Very finicky in my opinion.I’m thinking there must be a good way to connect it or bind it so that it’ll stay, but that’s for a future pie.Overall, I think it did it’s job well, and it’s already better than the pies we made without an edge protector. But it’s tricky to use, and doesn’t stay put so well. And it gets really hot! Please be careful !

The silicone ring worked well on this pie. The ring just fit around the pie pan easily and stayed on the pie. I used to use aluminum foil that I had to mold to the edge of the pie. These work. I give them 5 stars.

Do not stay in place. I threw mine away. Just my opinion

I read reviews people said they are hard to keep on. In some pictures in the reviews I saw office clips to hold them. Would be nice to have a clip made for these to go with them. I cook my pies with them on and then remove the last 15 mins. Perfect crusts. So putting them on before I cook seems to work best rather than try to put them on a hot pie. Ready to save money on foil and have reusable ones.

I've used this a few times for family events and I can say that it has held up well. The thin ring has notches to adjust for your pie pan circumference and they cover the edge of my glass pan well. These make the Pillsbury recipe even easier! Set it on the crust once you've baked it to your liking and forget it until the end.

A friend recommended silicone crust protectors so I ordered these. They work excellent, work for many sizes of pie plates. Finally I bake a pie without having crusts too brown or worse black. Love them

This is 2 pieces of cheap plastic with notches cut in them. Nothing like what the photo shows. Don't bother!

This is good, but not perfect. It's a little flimsy, so it can be difficult to adjust while wearing Ovegloves or kitchen mitts. I wish it stayed on the pie better, but again... it's really the only product for this that I'm aware of. And it does its job, keeping the crust from burning. Will keep using until I find a better solution.
