For lightweight use only!
About 4 years back, I ordered a similar set of coiled keychains which I absolutely loved - after 4 years, the one I use to clip my small wallet to my belt look is working as well as the day I bought it - better than the wallet, actually! I'd been concerned over the fact that the end of the coil was simply fused to the body of the coil, but that has not been an issue. When I wanted to get more of them, I was disappointed that they were no longer available, but found this alternative product. The fact that the end of the coil is fastened with metal also appealed to me (though as noted, the fused ones have not been an issue).Sadly that's the only potential improvement. These key holders are far flimsier than their predecessors: far stretchier coil, with much less bounce-back, and the metal ring part is thinner. Adequate, but definitely not as strong as the earlier set.The photo with the purple (old set) and orange (new) shown parallel does not make the flimsiness obvious, though you can see the orange coil looks like it might be a little thinner. The photo of the two holding my earpod cases really demonstrates how flimsy the newer one is - I had trouble holding the phone far enough back to capture the two, since the newer one let the case dangle so much further down than the older one.I would be very hesitant to trust these with anything requiring daily pulling-out and putting-back - such as how I use the older ones with my wallet. I wanted them to make it easier to carry my wireless earbud case in my pocket, with a little more security, and they'd be OK at that as long as I'm not constantly fishing them out and tugging on the coil. I suspect that after a bit of that, the coil would wind up permanently stretched out. They'd also do for attaching something to the keyring loop inside my purse, which is how I'm most likely to use them. similar set of coiled keychains

Wonderful sturdy keychain
Theses keychains came exactly as described. The colors are vibrant. The Lobster -Claw clasp is sturdy and thick. They are about 6in long before you stretch the coil. I use them for everything from keeping my car keys as a wrist bracelet to attaching my gym membership card to my bag for easy access. They also would be really great for clipping your keys inside your purse so they don't fall to the bottom. Or for a male to clip onto his belt loop to avoid losing them.I have purchased many of these over the last few years and this particular brand has by far been the best. I highly recommend these.

Thin and not much spring. Metal ring stretches
I am a technician and bought these for my lockout locks to keep my key attached to my waist so I don't loose it when working while my lock is on a machine so my intended use is heavy duty. The loops at the end are not welded but are just a coil crimped. The coil itself on this is to weak for my use and the cord tangled with my other lock (I always have 2 locks on me). When the key was left to dangle this stretched longer than I would like. Also the ring I kept my key on started to stretch out already and the clip is thin.So these might be just fine for light use, but do not use them if your intended use is heavy.

No more lost keys
I used these stretch cord key rings for my children when they were young. We always had a problem with lost and misplaced keys. Then these cords solved our problem. I attached them to the zipper on their back pack and put the key into a pocket on the back pack. Whenever they needed to use them, viola! there they were,,,never lost or misplaced again. The first time my grandson called us up to let him into his house because he forgot his key, I shopped for these cords. They are a good solution, however, the ones I had purchased for my own children were much thicker. I wish these were a little sturdier and thicker. Time will tell how long they last.
