Best as Seen on TV Product I've Owned
This is my second one of these and while they seem to have gotten a bit smaller they really do the job on your feet. My feet get pretty dry in the summertime and this works perfectly to remove the dead skin. I use it right after I get out of the shower when the skin on my feet is soft. Easy to clean and replace blade cartridge.

Have used it for some time. Tough on skin even though it is tough. Use it only when I have to. May check into the new product. Not sure yet.

Ped Egg is EGGxactly what I needed!
I have horribly calloused feet. This is amplified twenty-fold during the summer, because I am either continuously barefoot or in flip-flops. I never stop and moisturize my feet, and there are times they get so dry from the summer heat that they crack and bleed. My husband bought a Ped Egg for me as a gift, and it has totally revolutionized my summer footed dilemmas! The package my husband got had two of the metal cheese-grater looking attachments, and one rough one that feels like sandpaper/nailfiles.PROS:1. It is small. I took it with me on a vacation and it took up minimal room. It fits into the palm of my hand, and isn't so big or clunky that it has ever caused me problems.2. The sides really work! I used the metal applicator for sloughing off all of the dead skin, and the filing applicator for smoothing it down. I have not had dry/cracked feet since I started using them.3. It is easy to clean and doesn't make a mess. This is huge for me. The metal attachment (ie: the cheese grater looking piece) sloughs off the dead skin, but traps it inside the half-circle portion you hold. This keeps the dead skin from flying around everywhere and clogging drains. You literally pop the attachment off, and tap the Ped Egg against the trash bin and it all comes out. You can then rinse both pieces and voila! It is as good as new.4. It isn't expensive. I don't have a lot of money to spend, and I find it great that the Ped Egg and the refill packs are super cheap. Depending on the store, it is almost cheaper to get a new Ped Egg (since it comes with 2 metal attachments and the emery pad anyways, but I don't mind. I figure the Ped Egg portion itself will need to be replaced every so often for sanitary purposes. I can spend $5 and get a new Ped Egg easily, and can do the same with the refill packs. Each metal blade lasts me almost 6 months before I start to notice that it is dulling down. The emery boards tend to have the same life span. Since it comes with 2 metal attachments, $5 for a year isn't bad in my book!CONS:1. It can't help get in between your toes. I know this might sound silly, but it's true. I wear a lot of flip flops, so I notice that I get build-up thicker skin in between my big toe and my index toes. This product does not help with that.2. It doesn't handle ridges/bumps very well. One time this last summer I went a while without using this product, and my foot cracked. As it was healing, this product did not help the get the calloused off area surrounding it AT ALL. It doesn't handle ridges- if you have a spot on your foot that goes inwards, it won't be able to touch it (because the Ped Egg attachments are flat). I also noticed it takes a little extra time to get the region under my toes where the skin creates a curve. Once I got the hang of it, this wasn't a problem, but it took me almost two weeks of messing with the Peg Egg to figure out how to soften that spot.3. It doesn't work if your feet are dry. It is also painful to try on dry feet. I thought I'd throw this out there; I used it once with dry feet, and it didn't slough off the dead skin. It did leave several small cuts in the heel of my foot, and left that foot agitated for almost a week. Consider it my lesson learned.Overall, I give this product 4 stars out of 5. It isn't expensive, is super easy to clean, and gets the job done. Even though it can't help in between the toes, it does a decent job everywhere outside of that. If you don't get pedicures regularly and want the do-it-at-home effect, I would recommend this product. The Ped Egg is also great for people who do get pedicures, but want to use something at home to help with upkeep. I'd recommend this item, and it's definitely become part of my shower-time regime.
