How is the compressor getting power?

It's powered by an extra long cord that plugs into the cigarette lighter. It will reach all four wheels.

The headlamp light doesn't seem to work. What do I do with the batteries? Not intuitive.

There is a thin plastic film between the batteries and the light connection to prevent incidental contact during shipping. Make sure this is removed and that the batteries are face up, then screw on the lamp tight to activate it. If it still doesn't work, please contact us through your Amazon account and we will arrange a replacement.
