The best solar light I found for six reasons including ONE KEY REASON
There are dozens of solar lights out there and most are pretty much the same but this one stands out for several significant reasons that make it, I think, by far the best of the bunch.1) HUGE FEATURE -- removable batteries. This feature alone separates this solar light from all but a few others, and it's a significant feature because solar lights are very hard on batteries. Why? Because the two things that kill lithium batteries the fastest are heat and going through full charge/discharge cycles. Ideally, lithium batteries like to stay at comfortable room temperatures and remain between 40-80% charge (this applies to your phone batteries as well). Solar lights often get hot in the summer and, depending on their use, also go through multiple full charge and discharge cycles. So your solar light batteries will inevitably degrade over time.Solar lights without removable batteries will therefore gradually lose performance, it's a basic function of ANYTHING that runs on batteries. So being able to easily replace the batteries is a HUGE feature, and very few solar lights have it.2) Adjustable brightness. Some lights have this, many do not. This one says it can go from 1000 to 2000 lumens. If anything, these numbers seem conservative. Either that, or solar lights that claim to have more lumens are exaggerating, because 2000 lumens on this light seems brighter than 2500 lumens on several others I tried. In any case, the ability to adjust brightness is nice.3) Adjustable light duration. This can go from 30 to 120 seconds. Most solar lights have fixed light times. They may stay on as long as they detect movement, but it's nice to be able to adjust how long the light stays on without movement.4) Adjustable movement detection range. Another nice feature missing on many solar lights. If you are near a street, for example, it's nice to limit how far the light detects so it isn't constantly being set off by cars in the distance.5) Multiple adjustment angles for EVERYTHING. This has 3 separate lights and a motion sensor, and ALL have independent mounts. Very helpful for placement and configuration.6) Solid build quality. Frankly, none of the solar lights I found have great build quality, most are solid plastic. Given this, this solar light feels less flimsy plastic than most. The light pivots are smooth, the plastic feels relatively thick, and the solar panel is on the larger side (this is a good thing).7) I read a negative review that said this light turns on even during the day. Perhaps this person got a defective unit because on a properly working unit this isn't true, like almost all solar lights this has a light sensor and only turns on after dusk or when it's strongly overcast.ONE NEGATIVE -- The solar mount has an odd design flaw if you mount it on a vertical surface (this is the only mounting issue), which is that you can only angle it towards the sun by mounting the solar panel it so it hangs from the mount top-down rather than the bottom-up. This is a design issue because if you mount the solar panel so it hangs from the mount bottom-up, rain will be able to leak into the panel from the cable entrance (since the cable comes out the bottom of the panel). The solution is either to simply have the panel properly mounted bottom-up and extend vertically (but this will slightly reduce charging efficiency) or mount the panel on a horizontal surface, in which case none of these issues apply. It's a small annoyance but odd it wasn't addressed as it would have simply required a slight cut-out in the mounting socket.

Good product
This is the 4th one I've bought and haven't had any problems with any of them.

Bright light
This outdoor light is easy to install and provides bright light on our patio. The motion detector is sensitive and detects from about 20 feet

It never charged.
After supposedly charging for an entire week it just never worked. Even the test mode was dim, now it doesn’t work either. I believe this was either old stock with old batteries, or just bad luck. It’s hard to say. I have another one I purchased this year from Costco which works perfectly. I would probably think twice before buying this, check your local Costco stock first.**UPDATE** The lights have finally fully charged and now work as perfectly as the same one I purchased directly from Costco. It took about 2 weeks to get charged up though. Updated from 1 star to 5.Two year update: These solar lights still work great. Just as good as the ones I purchased directly at the Costco warehouse. I’m getting another set soon. This time I’ll know it make take a couple of weeks to fully charge. Also - in winter, when there is less sun and the weather has been very bad and cloudy, you may not get the brightness you have in better weather. The same is true for both sets. But they will still work. Once the weather clears up and they get some good charge, they’ll be bright again. These are the best solar flood lights in my opinion.

Easy installation, dependable
I liked my first one so much I bought a second one. Gives me the light I need where there is no electrical connection. Works exactly as it should with no problems.

Awesome Light!
So glad I found these on Amazon after Costco stopped selling them. A really bright, really good solar light. Highly recommend. Set it, charge it, and forget it. Couldn't be easier.

Powerful Light
I have 2 of these mounted on the side of a container illuminating a section of the boatyard where we set up our outriggers. Both lights are set on the 2,000 lumen setting but the lights also have the ability to be set on the 1,000 lumen setting. The latter would probably give you more battery life but we need the additional lumens to illuminate further out into the boat yard for the other outrigger paddlers. It was a very simple install and the additional cord length for the solar panels comes in handy so I can move the panels into what I felt were better positions for longer sunlight exposure. I have used this brand of light in the past and it is hit or miss on the performance and longevity. Two lights I installed 5 years ago is still shining brightly where another two installed 3 years ago doesn't funtion properly anymore. These current lights I just installed shine very brightly but the batteries don't seem to be able to keep up. After a very short period of time (5 mins) they start to dim and eventually are so dim they are useless or they turn off and don't come back on until they are charged again. Even though winter had shorter daylight hours and it does get pretty cloudy here in the PNW, night practices are only on Monday and Wednesday nights so it would seem the lights have more than ample time to recharge during the rest of the week. The charging panels are aimed directly south with an angle of 47 degrees which is optimal for the PNW.The motion detection seems to be hit or miss on both of these lights. On ocassion I have to walk right up to them and wave my arms but that has only happened a few times.Keep in mind we are in the middle of winter and it has been cold out. Both conditions make charging batteries and holding a charge more difficult. But you can tell from the photo these lights are very bright.
