EGO Power+ CH1800 Nexus Solar Panel Charger, Grey

Solid build quality. Allows me to charge my nexus powerstation (the attached batteries) with solar panels but at only 180w this is slow. I bought the nexus charger several years ago as a back up station but other smaller, cheaper and faster charging options are available now. If you already have lots of ego batteries and nexus power station this is a solid buy, but if you are missing any of those items you can get a whole power station from another company as a better and cheaper solution. Happy with my purchase because I already had the ego items.

Works as expected!

Works well with up to 200 watts. But there is no reset to power each day so you have to manually reset it each day.

This adapter works flawlessly with the Nexus power station and solar panels. Very easy to set up and use. If there was one thing I would have liked to have it would be a small led display indicating status and wattage input from the solar panels. The only indicators this has is a blinking green light if it is charging and a solid red light if there is a problem. Makes it a bit more difficult to troubleshoot without any information other than the lights.

I had never hooked up a solar panel before. This unit to drive charge into an eGo power pack worked great, the first time. And it gives peace of mind knowing that it was engineered for these eGo devices and a solar panel. I got mine working fine with Renogy 2PCS Solar Panels 100 Watt (a 2 pack).

Though it charges when first connected, it turns off when the sun goes down and does not turn back on the next day! You have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to start charging again. I didn't think this could be possible, but after 2 useless phone calls to customer service, I managed to have a prolonged exchange through the app with texts. Over a two day period I got this as an answer from customer service: "Because the power station is not capable of of pass through charging, once the unit is fully charged or turned off, it reverts back to wanting to power external devices, because it can only do one or the other. This is why you need to unplug the CH1800 and plug it back in because the power station does not allow pass through charging. We are sorry if this is an inconvenience. Please let us know if you have any other questions." So this means I have to run out and unplug and plug it back in every time the sun goes behind a cloud? I can't believe this is true so if anyone has a different experience or knows of another workaround, please leave a comment. Otherwise, I plan to return it. Of course, I also bought a solar panel that I installed and longer cables. Not sure what to do with these. Very disappointed.

Works great. Would be nice if it itself had usb ports on it as a pass through to charge in real time.

First time I was using solar panel more than 20w. I purchase 200watt of solar panel and you directly connect the solar panel to that ego power+ and it does provide electricity for ego battery charger (not included). The only drawback is its price, but if it is what you need it work well. This being said, it really sad that we can't use the power station while it does charge, but it is not the problem of this adaptor, it is a limitation on the power station.

Build tough. Unfortunately, charging a rate a 180W is a slow charging.
