Addiction (The Hunted Series Book 2)

I wanted to start out by saying that this is the 2nd book in "The Hunted" series. That being said you will need to read the first book to know what is going on in this book. It is not a stand-a-Lone series. This book also leaves you with a To Be Continues in Eruption message. I just want to put this out there because some people do not like book series books. Addiction picks up with Temptation left off. This book took me through so many emotions. There was sadness, heartbreak, happiness, love, steam, passion, a little suspense, anger, distrust, and Happiness. I am sure I could think of some more, but you get the point. Penny and James have to learn how do cope with their feelings for one another and learn how to trust one another. Do you do what you feel in your heart or doing what others feel is right. They face a lot choices, and problems. As a reader you will take in all the emotions and want to power through this book to see Ivy Smoak takes Penny and James in this amazing story. I just recently finished reading the 4th book this "The Hunted Series" and Addiction is probably my favorite book in the series. For me Addiction is a pivotal part of the series. There are a lot of pieces in this book that make the other books after it meaningful. I absolutely love this series. It has taken me on a wonder journey of emotions. If you like to to read book in a series that you never know what is going to happen next with lots of emotion and passion then I highly recommend this book series.

Suspenseful to keep your interest. Romantic but spicy, with consent change make you wanting more. Can't stop reading. Looking forward to book 3!

Penny and Hames are always keeping me guessing what their story will hold next. Their love is amazing. I’m excited to start the next book.

I read the first 2 in less than 4 days! I’m about to start the 3rd book, now! I can’t wait to see what happens next! I love how romantic & erotic these books are! 💦😻😎🔥🔥 I might even like them more than the “beautiful,” series! I will decide after I finish all the books in the series…

FMC is soooooo immature, wishy washy, indecisive, etc. I thought she would have some character growth from the first book but she didn’t it got worse. Who sleeps with a friend and makes out with a neighbor and bangs MMC all in the same day? Ewww! I’m not slut shaming! Just ewww at the indecisiveness of it all! Not mention the MMC seems off and he too sleeps with his soon to be ex wife. But the two main characters just blip past it like it was no biggy!? First book and this book seemed to have been written by a brand new brand new author or a very young author. Seemed like I was reading something written from a very young and naive point of view. Especially about the topic of love and relationships and trust! Very toxic relationship dynamics in both of the first two books. I don’t have high hopes about the third book! The first book and this book had so much potential! Also, both main characters feels super young. The actions of the MMC character would be more believed if he was younger than 27. He seems just as young and immature as the FMC. Author tries to make MMC seem mysterious and possessive and age gappy but it falls flat when he is just a liar and he slept with his ex wife and ghosted FMC for weeks enough so to push her in someone else’s arms. Idk just not well written over all. Spice is the most decent part of this book and the first book. His office in the first book, how exactly did that work? 🤣😝 something gives me the ick is she is still calling him professor! I get it if it’s role play sexy time but she legit calls him that all the time! Make FMC seem even more immature. Anyways enough of my critiquing!

These books keep u wanting to know more. It's a great book for young adults to adults. It makes you truly understand both sides of a story. Unfortunately, I have to say this is unfair, on how you're being judged by someone and a situation before obtaining all the facts. Hands down a good book all around.

When things get more complicated between Professor Hunter and Penny, things go crazy. They both struggle deciding what's best for them and how to handle it. They both make mistakes that can ruin them professionally and their relationship. They need to decide if they want to be together and if they can handle the consequences of their decision. So many people end up involved and can cause more problems for them. Will they be able to work this out or are they doomed when their relationship comes out?

This book number two was riveting I really enjoyed the drama between James and penny they are so attracted to each other that they fall into each others arms and into wild sex one minute and the next minute they can be having sex on a pool table but Penny is conflicted because James comes clean about his marriage and getting a divorce and she finally tells him she's only going to be 20 years old and a sophomore in college James is extremely angry and he says he needs time and walks away from her Penny is devastated she sees him every day in class and he totally ignores her she and her roommate talked and encourage Penny to forget him and MoveOn Taylor has always like Penny and he consistently seems to stand by her side they do go to a Halloween party for her birthday and after a few drinks Penny realizes that she wants to sleep with Tyler and they do but James comes back on to the scene and she chooses James over Taylor but James has showed up to the party and gets into a fight with Tyler but Penny accidentally gets punched and falls to the ground and gets a concussion and things seem to get worse from there but Penny is so sure that she loves him that James loves her and he tells her that but Penny still feels like somethings not right but surprises keep happening can't wait for the next book

This book was so good...you have to read book 1 to understand what's going on but this was well done

I absolutely loved reading this book. The characters are brilliant and the storyline is great. Penny and James are both brilliant characters. Their relationship is the best, and it’s brilliant how it’s developing as the story goes on. Penny is learning more and more about him, and they’re just falling more in love. I love the fact that she isn’t with him for his money. Penny’s very down to earth. They’re having some hot moments between them, but they’re also having some problems on the way, but they keep overcoming them. I can’t blame her for falling in love with James, and the ending, cor, he’s just brilliant. Overall, I’m loving this series, and I found this book better than the first one. It’s an easy read and the characters and storyline are brilliant. I would definitely recommend it. Jessreviews.co.uk

This had me everywhere. Up, down, this way and that way. At one point I was routing for Tyler and the next Brendan and then back to James. I didn’t know what to feel and what was true and what wasn’t. Wow what a story teller. If you need something to keep you guessing this one is for you!

Why is Penny so keen to explore other love interests? This is so annoying as I don’t think she or the story needs to be promiscuous.
