NYKO 86130 Xbox One(TM) Charge Block Solo

The Nyko Charge Block Solo for Xbox One works great just like an other Nyko product I have bought. All you have to do is either is plug in the micro USB cable to a USB port that has sufficient power. Such as a USB plug wall charger, USB ports on the Xbox One, Computer, etc. Then put the Micro USB into the block, change out the battery cover and battery. ( It will also work with the batteries from "Nyko Modular Power Station - Xbox One" ). Then just slide the controller down on top of the block, it should fit snugly. Flashing means it is charging and solid white is battery is fully charged. The awesome thing about the blocks is that you can put multiple ones together so it is great for a household that has multiple consoles and you only want one charging station. Just take off the plastic cover off the front of the block and slide them together.

I love this charge block. it's easy to drop the controller on and just go. I have it connected to the charge block solo for the PS4 and it's so nice to just have them combined into one unit. It's compact enough that you can put it by the console or on an end table for quick grabbing. The Xbox version has a little door with a cut out for battery contacts. This door works with the amazon basics charging stand too but they won't charge each other's batteries if you were wondering.

This rechargeable battery / charging dock is fantastic for my needs, and no matter how long I game, the thing never runs out of battery in a single session. The only down side to it is the exceptionally bright white charging lights on either side of the block that flash while charging, but aren't too much of a bother since the battery usually charges quickly and can be removed from the base to turn the lights off once charged. It's modular, so you can chain them together, and it looks quite nice. The build quality is good for something that's cheap to purchase, and the mounting system used to secure the controller on the contacts is accurate and guarantees a good gravity connection.

This is a great functional design and working product. I was using traditional AA Batteries when I first got my X Box One, however they would last no more than 8 hours of use on (less with games that use a lot of rumbling) so I was going through a pair of AA batteries usually every 2-3 days. Its also clear that the controllers have a high minimum threshold for the battery as batteries I have taken from these have been inserted in other devices (like radios and flashlights) and still have a significant charge in them. A rechargeable solution such as this Nyko Charge Block was basically a must. Two problems with it however: First off the white variant (as I have a White X Box and controller) costs more. This only bothers me mildly, as I bought the black one anyway since I don't care about the look...but it feels wrong to me. Secondly the indicator for charging. These blocks blink on and off when charging, which is ridiculously bright as well and emits from both sides of the block. I cannot even imagine what it must be like to have 4 of these bricked together all blinking...the light is extremely bright. A better solution would have been to have a two color system to indicate charging and charged...such as red for charging and green for completely charged.

This is the best XBox charger available. I had a two slot charger already, adding this made it a three slot charger. Adding the slot was as easy as taking off the cover and attaching it. I love the rechargeable batteries and the ease in just dropping it into the charger. It charges through a replacement battery backplate, this doesn’t plug into any port to wear it out. The charger lights up when in use, then turns off. My controllers will last 2 days with average use, binging on borderlands still provided 16 hours. The cover for the battery on the back of the controller is sometimes hard to get on. That’s a Microsoft issue. Color is white, so it doesn’t match all my controllers.

This worked well for the first few days but not even a full week after I started using it, it stopped working. The charge would read full upon first turning on the controller then it would die quickly within a few minutes. I've made sure it was seated properly on the charge block and it has been.

Bought It Brand New And It Doesn't Charge Fully It Stops Charging At 80% And The Battery Doesn't Hold A Charge For More Than A Day Even Tho It Claims To Have A Bigger Capacity And Longer Lasting Than Previous Batteries.

Recharged it out of the box, and when the light was not flashing anymore (indicating a full charge) I turn on the controller and see the battery level indicator on Xbox home screen was not entirely full. Weird, but I started playing games anyway. Lasted for about a total of 6-8 hours of gameplay over two days. I was periodically checking the battery level indicator on Xbox home screen while playing to make sure I still had enough charge to be playing. About 2 hours into the second day, the indicator still showed 85% full (same as when I first started playing on day 1). Then all of a sudden it went from 85% to a notice saying “battery is low.” I was in the middle of a raid, so I kept playing until my battery died and then I had to scramble to find two AA batteries. After playing I put the nyko battery back into the controller and placed the controller on the charge block for a full recharge. After a full recharge, I turned on the controller and again the battery level indicator showed not fully charged. For this reason I’m removing two stars because I would expect it to show 100% battery level after a full charge, which is what I see when I insert two new AA batteries into the controller. For all I know I’m getting just 85% of the capacity this battery should have. As far as looks, I find the charge block quite stylish. And the LEDs are not that bright which is great in my opinion. I personally could have used a longer usb cable for the included Usb wall outlet charger, but everyone’s home entertainment setup is different. After a full charge the LEDs seem to stay lit instead of turning off. I just see this as a waste of energy and would prefer the lights to turn off eventually. Update on 3/12/2018: Decided to leave the controller in overnight, instead of taking the controller off of the charge base as soon as the led stops blinking. In the morning, I turned on the xbox and the controller battery level showed as full, 100%, in home screen. This indicates that the leds on the side of the charge block stop blinking prematurely. Keeping the 3/5 star rating due to this being a defective product; the led's should stop blinking once the battery level is 100% full, not before.

Reçue avec ma manette Xbox One Elite, la station de charge s'intègre très bien dans mon setup et avec la manette. L'installation de la batterie est aussi simple que de changer les piles. J'admire le fait que les blocs sont enfichables les uns dans les autres, je me suis dit que le jour où j'achèterai d'autres manettes il sera facile d'augmenter la station de charge en même temps. Voici donc 5 étoiles !
