500gbs alright
Yeah I should’ve went with a higher storage but it gets the job done. It works and I’m a happy customer. I will continue to order crucial products because they are like a top brand and super trusted. It’s also got a fast load up time in case you were wondering. Also, budget friendlyIf you really need extra storage, just get an external drive 👍🏼

Solution to installation problem
So far this SSD has performed exactly as expected. I replaced an existing SSD in my wife's laptop which was equipped with a 128 GB boot drive and a 1 TB Hard drive. The boot drive was almost full and had some damaged sectors; thus the decision to buy a new SSD. I installed it using the Anker case which was well made and easy to use. The Crucial/Acronis software was easy to install and quickly cloned the old drive. However, when I exchanged the new drive in the laptop for the old drive, it would not boot. Nothing I tried seemed to work. I called Crucial, and although someone answered quickly, he was not of much help. Told me to re-clone and if that didn't work, the drive was probably defective. When I used disk manager to look at the drive, it showed all the partitions that were on the old drive and said it was functionally normally. Although I put the drive back in the same slot, I ultimately determined that I needed to change the boot order in the UEFI (new version of BIOS). I had assumed (falsely) that since the drive was in the same slot and was an SSD like the old drive, that the boot order did not need to be changed. My UEFI showed the boot drive was Windows Boot Manger. I changed it to the next drive (which had an odd designation--not Crucial and not the size), the computer booted right up. Hopefully, this will help others installing a new drive.

Great upgrade
This SSD is fast so much faster than the original. The PC is now running with W11 and performing great. I’m using it mostly for Astrophotography and O365 stuff. Next step RAM, it has 16G and is doing ok for now. The experience with the seller was also great no problems at all, recommended.

Great quality
You can get higher capacity version's now, but I've been running this as my main drive for over a yr, it still register's 99% lifespan left, which the software tell's you btw, no guessing there. I'm running the previous gen, gen3 version as a game drive...it's lost no life and I've run that one for twice as long, just not as a main. I do use heatsink's on them. Worried about quality??, buy a crucial, love them.

Easy install, great performance (so far)
I got this to replace my system drive (Windows 11) that decided to go on permanent vacation early this week, based on the "Upgrade My Computer" recommendation on the Crucial site. The install in my HP Pavilion was really easy with just a small screwdriver (and star driver for the drive cage in the case), and the BIOS saw it right away. We'll see if it lasts longer than the drive that shipped with my computer (less that 5 years on that one), but so far it's excellent.

Excellent Solid State Drive
I installed this M.2 SSD in a Dell Optiplex 7040. I also replaced the Intel Core i3 processor with an Intel Core i7-6700 and boosted the RAM to 24GB (what I had on hand). Now this computer is super fast. Still won’t run Windows 11…but who cares. Short-sided thinking on Microsoft’s part.
