Sturdy, good value, easy to use (tip inside)
Needed to change my motorcycle oil recently but didn't want to go to the garage and pay top dollar. Bought this instead and did it myself. This was my first time and it was easy. One tip - grab yourself an empty 1.5 - 2l water bottle, cut at a third mark up from bottom. Use the tip part upside down to get close to the bolt releasing the oil and open it up. This will allow you to avoid all the mess compared to just trying to aim the flow. And the bottom 1/3 of the bottle? Use it for oil filter drain. It only contains around 200ml anyway.Minimum mess and maximum effectiveness. Recommend.p.s. local recycling centre will take your oil from you for free. Just drain it into one of dedicated containers. If not - just ask local garage to use one of theirs. Be nice, you might need to change your oil next year :)

spot on if used correctly
works exactly as it should, Just check the seal seating in the caps before using for the first time, mine weren't in right, missing this could of resulting in a messy jobTo the moron who said it cant catch quick enough if you remove the 2nd smaller bung the tub will fill as quickly as you pour liquid into it. because it lets the air out.top product works as it should and easy to use on site and will hold liquid without leaking til you can get to a responsible place to dispose of your waste product.i run and service drilling rigs, out on site generally fields and awkward places first time using productno mess no spills a definite must

Fantastic at catapulting oil all over the place
Just used this product for the first time and to my great disappointment, it wasn't a happy experience. My usual oil pan doesn't have the best of spouts so while it's great for the initial draining, pouring the oil out of it usually results in a bit of spillage. I was hoping this product would cut out the middle bit of having to empty the oil pan, unfortunately it cut out the need to empty it at all and proceeded straight to the 'oil all over the floor' part.As other reviewers have pointed out, the part that collects the oil is quite shallow and it curves in, so what happened in my case was that the oil came straight out of the sump, hit the drain tray which then catapulted the oil straight out again all over the driveway. Brilliant.I might as well have not bothered with a drain pan at all.I must also point out that I DID have the breather plug removed as per the instructions.I'm not sure if this would still be the case if the oil had been sat in the car for a year or so and therefore would be a bit thicker, the oil I was draining was only 2000 miles old, but that shouldn't matter.Overall 10/10 for the idea, 0/10 for the execution.Off to buy some driveway cleaner now.

Very poor design. Best avoided
Very small diameter hole on the drain catch area means the oil doesn’t drain away faster than it comes out of your car leading to spillage as it can easily overfill/ overflow. The catch area is too shallow and the oil ends up everywhere. Also the large cap meant for draining out when it’s full has a very poor seal meaning it leaks out. I had to put a rubber glove over the threads and screws the cap on.Not very good at all. Would return it had I known this but now it’s used I’ll just dispose of it at the local refuse place.

GREAT, PERFECT OIL CHANGE DONE
ALLOWS YOU TO STORE YOUR OLD OIL WHEN DOING AN OIL CHANGE, AFTER REFILLING/FLUSHING WITH NEW OIL, CAN BE POURED INTO THE EMPTY OIL CONTAINERS/BOTTLES TO BE TAKEN TO RECYCLING CENTRE. Reduces spilling when sliding, reduces oil smells, wiped clean very easily with paper towels.[ no need to worry about oil splash back when draining - works fine - just position it will and adjust as oil flow slows down or you will have a mess :) ]
