Mother of 2, grandmother of 4. We've purchased several hammering type toddler toys over the years. We still have one with 3 balls to hammer into holes that we purchased for the almost 13 year old when he was a toddler, and we like it. BUT THIS ONE beats all the hammering toys I've seen for interest. I have 17 month old twin grandsons - one is very active and a do-er, the other is quiet and more of a thinker. They BOTH loved this toy. It was a new toy for them when they came to visit yesterday. Yes, they used the hammer to beat on the little pop up figures, just like any other hammer toy. But they both really were intrigued by the figures and the fact that if you push one down, another pops up. They used the hammer and they also pushed the figures with their fingers. They each played separately with it for several minutes and went back to it again later. I foresee that they will enjoy this toy for quite awhile and they've already had some great learning experiences with it. And I also really like the fact that I don't have to keep up with balls that are used in the other hammer type games and that end up all over my house.

Toy was not packaged or protected well. Side peg damaged the box it came in and the toy pieces are loose and flimsy and looks poorly constructed. Was so looking forward to gifting this for my nephews Birthday. It looks used and not giftable.
