Great toy sword!
I bought this as a replacement sword for my son’s broken Zombie Strike Nerf sword. Nerf stopped making those; so I ended up on a “quest” for a new play sword. After careful reviews and time pondering this purchase, I made it.Let me tell you, this sword is quality! It looks like a real sword. It is durable and functional. My son LOVES this thing! It may be his new favorite toy weapon. He was so disappointed when his Nerf sword broke, after receiving this for Christmas he forgot all about the old sword. He play fights his brothers regularly, and they are not easy on their toys. It has yet to show damage. The sword looks real, but it is not sharp and it does not hurt. It is pretty long in size and the handle and grip are good sized. It looks like something you would see people using for medieval role play. I would totally buy this again- 1,000 times over- it was a great value for what I spent!

3rd one
This toy is great. I've bought it for my now 10 year old every couple years. It hold up very well. It's foam but got a hard core and is just the best play sword ever. Last for years but kids are rough on stuff and so, yes, we've gone through a few but I will continue to buy this one again.

Durable and Surprisingly Realistic for the Price
Who would have thought this cheap sword would turn out to be so durable and decently real looking? This product is great. It is lightweight, but not "too" light that you can't get momentum on the swing. It's a fun prop that I originally bought for a Halloween costume (I went as Jon Snow), but now I keep it in my office and swing it around for fun when the day is slow. I'm coming up on having it for a year now and it's in great shape! From far away, it even looks somewhat realistic. The only con is it's a bit short. If you're looking for a big broadsword or something, this isn't that. It's fairly short.I could see this being good for Halloween costumes or cheap theater performances. Enjoy!

Good-looking, but unsafe for LARP.
The sort of foam weapons sold on Amazon, including this one, aren’t really made for LARP combat. This one is better than most, in that it has a little bit of give to the foam and the rubber coating isn’t too thick or sharp along the edge.Cons:The tip will tear off if swung too often at a stiff target, and certainly if it’s repeatedly stabbed into the ground/floor (a practice kids seem to be fascinated by). It’s stiff on the strike; kids can hurt each other if they’re swinging full speed. The grip is simply a cylinder of the same smooth rubber that coats the rest of the item. It’d benefit from grip tape or better yet a simple mod of wrapping leather lacing.Pros:The coating is evenly applied and not too thick. The appearance is convincing at a distance. The pommel is (relatively) soft. The stiff core makes it capable at blocks and parries. The overall heft and handling make for a fun and safer-than-wood-or-metal practice tool, for kids.Good for a simple costume or light sparring with kids. Not suitable for unarmored / casual LARP.

Paired great with a knight costume
Got this for my brothers Halloween costume where he was a knight. It was a great hit! Light to hold but sturdy.

Great buy
Very well made my boys loved. It looked very realistic and they did not get hurt using it.

Smaller than you expect
Smaller than I expected. The handle is probably too thin. It’s not bad though, it looks good for a costume. I haven’t tried whacking other objects or swords if you were larping, but I’m not sure it would hold up well. Might fall apart easily. But you’d have to try I guess. I definitely think it’s good for a costume or prop, nothing else.
