Great for "In a Pinch" meals
These are actually great-tasting. A few years back, I used them for a few months with Pot Roast or similar before I told my husband what they were (potatoes in our stores really sucked back then). While we're not a fan of all the crazy preservatives and additives, they actually taste really nice- if you use a bit less water on the front end and add a bit more milk and pat of butter when stirring- even a handful of shaved Parmesan.

Tasty and easy, I mean easy, to quickly prepare.
I always have this in the pantry. It's the last minute item that fills out the dinner menu after a long day. One packet easily serves four. What is not to love?

Compostable?
The flavor is delicious. I've read that leftovers are not compostable due to the added ingredients to the potatoes.
