I wish I'd heeded the other reviews before I bought this! Ironically I picked this one in the end because many other 4 slot toaster have reviews said that they couldn't even take a full sized slice of bread. This one even mentioned wide things like crumpets and muffins so seemed goo. But in reality, for a test run, I put 3 normal size slices into it but they didn't seem to go all the way down. So I thought the control wasn't going all the way down. I pushed it harder, but no harder than I would expect the thing to be able to cope with in normal use, and the plastic bit on the end of the slot loading mechanism snapped off completely. Looking at it there seems to be a design error. The entire length that is pushed onto the metal bar should be glued to the bar along its whole length so it shares any tortional force. As it is not glued all force is concentrated at the very thing join where the lower, long plastic piece joins the bit that is pushed. It's a very weak design. I will continue to use the toaster but now one side just has a metal bar stickin out as there's no way to reattach the plastic part :-(

Price seems reasonable.

Looked forward to using this Amazon own brand, after all it had all of the features we required and so shiny! We tried it twice but on both occasions it only toasted on one slice of the bread in all 4 slots. There was obviously a bad connection internally. We returned it for a full refund for which we were grateful.

I purchased this item and was happy to receive my first ever 4-slice toaster. After making toast a few times, it now is set-up to how I like it (set to over 5). Even if the bread looks white, it still has a toasted feel which my previous toaster never did. The right two slices seem to popup half a second later than the left.Because of the intense heat of this toater, I am thinking about moving it because the cupboard above it (30cm - 45cm) gets scorching hot. Imagine, getting the toaster stuck on, you could have a potential fire in the making, so maybe best to have it not under a cupboard.The other day, I put 4 slices of W. white sliced bread, which is quite long so when I pushed the bread down gently, it tripped the fuse box. As H. wholemeal bread (think cobbled streets & a hill) is shorter, it doesn't require a gentle nudge, and the toast is also perfect. If it trips the fuses again, it will be returned to Amazon.The slots in the toaster are wide enough for crumpets, if you would want to toast those, but it's not something I usually eat.One other point is the power cord isn't so long and there is a place for the cord to be tucked under but it has a small design flaw: where the cord comes out of the inside is near a corner, and the track almost immediately goes 90 degrees around the corner and there is a tab over the top of the track just past the corner so was extremely difficult for me (I have arthritis & raynauds in my fingers) to try to press in (and around) the corner.The crumb trays, just like the base of the toaster is cheap, flimsy plastic whereas, my previous toaster had a metal crumb tray.In future, maybe I should just cut the crust off the bottom of the W. white bread (think muppets) so it fits without the gentle push.

Ordered the toaster. Within a couple of weeks the left hand side stopped working and the right hand side lever handle broke off. Return and replacement organised promptly. Second one arrived - exact same thing happened again. Return and refund requested but we're still waiting for any reply from Amazon weeks later about collecting the item and obviously won't get a refund until they do. Writing a review in the hope someone will actually get back to us!

The media could not be loaded. 1. Allows to toast 4 or 2 toasts (no need to always do 4!)2. Easy to use temperature settings,3. Nice design, maybe a bit too much mirror effect for photos 😅 but for just being in the flat, looks nice4. Easy to clean bread crumbs from the bottom due to small trays in both of the bread compartmentsOverall really good toaster! Changed my small toaster for 2 breads only, to this one and I’m happy. It’s perfect device for making a family breakfast

The first one I bought had one of the plastic levers you push the cassette down with the bread in broke. Really thin plastic and just cannot take the pressure of pushing the cassette down. I thought it could just be a faulty component as the toaster itself works really well.The return was quick and a replacement sent out. I have had the replacement since October and its now July but I have only used the toaster a couple of dozen times in that timeframe and the lever on the replacement has also broken. so it is just poor quality and not robust enough.
