It states the dimensions are 7 x 4 x 1.5 inches. is that correct? it seems a bit large for a pin on compass. does anyone have the actual diameter?

For some reason Amazon often lists the package dimensions as product dimensions. With this particular product, the package dimensions have varied over time as well, but the product has remained the same: It’s a standard pin-clip ball compass of about 3/4” (0.75 inches) in diameter. I hope this info helps!

Will this compass fit and replace the compass in a survival knife or can you tell me what is the diameter of the ball?

I threw it out. The one I purchased did not work well.
