useful for video and continuous light photo
I got this 4x E27 bulb holder to improve lighting for video work and it's not bad for the price (12.50). To fill in some of the specs of this unit that aren't on the official listing:.. 2.3m / 7ft 6 non-removable power chord (UK plug).. plastic (expected) not easily replacable bracket.. umbrella holder through the middle of the unit (between the 4 bulbs) with tension spring.. softbox rods receptacle around the plastic body.. all plastic construction except for the 9ceramic?) bulb holders.. comes with 3amp glass fuse in the body along with a spareYou'll need some decent bulbs to get sufficient light (lumens/lux) so whilst your household E27 100w equivalent (~1500 lumen) LED bulbs will get you up and running you may want to look at the 2000+ lumen LEDs.For some kind of reference, 2x 2500 lumen (marketed as 200w halogen equivalent) into a white bounce umbrella will get you f/2.0 ISO200 at 1/30th at a subject distance of about 5ft - or put another way, on an iphone's 28mm equivalent lens, this will give you good light for a head and shoulders. For the price it's quite good especially when we can see single/dual bulb holders in the same price range. The power chord length is sufficiently long to ensure that you can raise this light high enough without a dangling power strip extension but you will most likely need an extension strip though.I've used this with my various inexpensive (£20-40) umbrellas / umbrella-frame softboxes and it works well and yes, again it DOES take umbrellas without additional equipment although the umbrella shaft is only held in place by a tension spring in the rear of the centre hole. The tension spring and the plastic tilt bracket (that you'd not want to overtight and crack it) means that larger umbrellas: using this on a 45" umbrella or a 120cm octabox umbrella have been ok so far wrt to tilt and the umbrella shaft not slipping

Not a bad product for the price but build quality could be better!
I used this for some product photography and it fits nicely with my existing softboxes. It attaches directly on to my light stands which is great. The only downside I had was that the internal screw fitting (it's only crimped in place), came away on one of the sockets so can now only use 3 of the four lamps. It's not a problem for me as I only use one bulb at a time, but if you plan to use all four at once, make sure you are careful when taking bulbs out.All in all, for what you pay it's okay but the build quality could be better, especially when dealing with electrics.

Worst product I have ever bought on Amazon
This does not, in fact, fit to any of our tripods.Worse, we turned it on using a 10w bulb, flash and no more life. Probably immediately blew the fuse. There is no way I would feel safe using this even if we got it working again.

Very useful to have in your kit
Have never let me down. Great socket adapter holder and convenient for a variety of situations from film set to stills with a flash bulb in also.

Would not recommend
Cheaply made, the adjustment knobs and teeth are all made of plastic so they just don't do what they are supposed to do. Would not recommend
