Sturdy construction and well made but his best work in this genre is not included.Especially lacking is anything with a fantasy bent. Around half of the book is black & white/color versions of the same comics (this was interesting - the b&w versions are superior). The remainder looks like “gentleman’s magazines” from the 1950s - risqué at the time.But it’s still good that Vanguard is pulling together different compilations of this amazing artist’s work.

This is a 5 STAR BOOK! Wish I could give it more! I can’t understand some of the Frazetta fans on here giving this a low rating. The things they complain about are the things that make this priceless as far as I’m concerned. There are many books with the wonderful fantasy and horror oils and drawings that he is mostly known for. This book concentrates, as the title indicates, on the sensuous Frazetta artwork. And I love the fact they have the black and white pages next to the colorized pages in the comic book section. So much stuff here that is not available anywhere else, this is well worth the price for this not as well known but just as magnificent part of the Frazetta legacy! If you’re a Frazetta fan, or a fan of art in general, do yourself a favor and order this forthwith!

If you love Frank Franzetta art, then this book is a must for your library. Just be mindful that it is probably not appropriate for youngsters (but that's for each parent to judge).

43% of the book is reprint of comic story and duplicate pages at that (black and white one side and color the other side) … only about 1/2 the book is worthwhile

It was good to see the evolution of a great talent and art I have never seen .

Frazetta is a master, and the art is amazing, there's no doubt about that. My disappoinment is that 35 pages of this already slim book are nothing but the reproduction, in color, of the pages in B&W to their left. Yes, the exact same art... but with color. I understand a couple of pages of this, but 35? Insulting.

Vi pela primeira vez uma pintura e desenhos do Frazetta, quando tinha uns 9 anos de idade, tenho 58 hoje e ainda continuou apaixonado por Frazetta. É o meu preferido juntamente com Foster, Hogarth e mais uma meia dúzia de feras, mas esses dois ai eu nunca deixo de mencionar.

Apenas cuidado aos desavisados. Este livro NÃO é de fantasy art ao qual Frazetta é conhecido, são obras sensuais para revistas masculinas. Dito isso, ainda são obras de Frank Frazetta em mídias pouco conhecidas. Excelente para estudantes querendo ir mais a fundo no estilo, mas talvez decepcione quem espera mais do mesmo.
