I wish that it would float.
Our dog loved it, but it accidentally rolled into the lake.We only had it 1 1/2 weeks.I read there is a lifetime guarentee...but you probably won't replace it, because of an accidental loss.

Horrible smell.
Horrible smell. I washed my hands and still can’t get the smell out. Despite the smell- my dog grabbed it up, took it away for 30 minutes and chewed several pieces out of it. She loved chewing on it and I know not all dogs are power chewers but mine is! Half French Bulldog and half Pittie. Strong jaws!! For safety reasons I had to throw it away. Unfortunately the smell still lingers on her breath. 😔

My dog likes it - seems bulletproof
All good. The gauge is slightly large which my dog, Magnum {66 lb American Stafordshire Terrier), struggles with - slightly. Not a big problem and I am thinking that if the guuge were smaller, Magnum would be able to chew through it and ruin the toy. Comfy grip. Center piece or grip works great also because Magnum likes to grip that which allows the 2 handles to be free for human pulling.Walmart has/had a similar item, but..........one end has tiny spikes meant for the dog to grip. My dog never liked that end, however, so I always got the ucomfortable knobly end and he got the smooth human end - hah ha. Too, Magnum chewed through two of these Walmart toys., I have seen Magnum chewing on this reviewed toy, but I am seeing zero damage. Walmart's toy is cheaper, but the lifetime guarantee on this Tuff Tug toy eliminartes any price advantage.Update 6 months later - the product appears to be bulletproof.....until it wasn't. Everyone on the dog park marveled at the item's amazing durability in terms of daily severe abuse AND my dog's preoccupation with gnawing on the toy. Not only does it hold up, but there are almost no discernable chew marks. All of that said, the toy did finally show some coming apart today (mid March '24 - bought Oct '23 with lots of daily chewing and tug of war abuse). Remarkably, with a good 30% of the item's thickness chewed through - it still stands up to severe and constant tug of war strain......like nothing ever happened! We joke at the dog park that tbe toy is made of Kryptonite.Yes, it's now damaged some, but I feel it is well worth the 20.00 price for the service it has delivered.

My dog loves this thing.
I have an aggressive chewer who loves to play. This item has stood up to my dog's love of chewing quite well. Weeks later she still runs around with it.

Too smelly for dog
This looks very durable and it's solid. I think my dog will like it if the horribly strong odor of the product will ever go away. I've washed it with dish soap, run it through the dishwasher and left it outside for over a week through rainstorms and now 80 degree days but the odor remains. I throw it, my dog runs to retrieve it and immediately drops it and walks away. I'm assuming because it must taste incredibly nasty. I'm leaving it outside hoping it will eventually be acceptable. At this point I'd advise others not to waste their money.

not very durable
it seemed durable and tough at first but after a few weekends of playing for just 10 minutes it began to show signs of breaking down and after 6 weeks it was all but destroyed

Seems pretty tough
Just got it today. Seems to be a quality toy tugging bit seems like it will hold up. So far I would recommend this. My dog is a tough puller , tugger and chewer .
