I hate Lego sets. They inspire a lack of creativity by instructing a kid to build everything in a certain way, and then to never take it back apart, lest he loses a critical piece and can never be able to rebuild it. I'd much rather give a kid a bunch of wheels and gears and let them use their imagination to get the gears spinning in their mind to create something cool. That is exactly what this set is for.

Quality not the same as Lego, some pieces were loose and others tight, considering the cost I guess that's not too bad. My son doesn't really notice much.

My kids are into robotics with building block sets. The name brand accessories can be a little expensive. This set has been a good alternative. Everything has worked perfectly with the other robotics sets. Great value for the set.

My son has been BEGGING for "Lego gears" for over a year. This is an excellent variety of pieces for him to be able to build to his hearts content.

Perfect to have “just in case”.

Made in China. Very cheap and brittle feeling compared to actual Lego products. On the plus side, they are Lego compatible. Ordered this because I couldn't find a decent Lego "gears" kit anywhere. This kit fits that purpose, but I would not order it again.

This product is the best assorted pieces I've seen in amazon so far. All are commonly used, and quantity included is just about right for small projects. (I additionally bought a Lego Base Plate "EKIND 4 PCS Classic Building Base Block Plate 10" x 10"").
