It's 13 x 19 each side is 4" deep making. Total depth of 8". Hopes this helps

Do the bags that have the wave shell fit into delta overhead bins?

Yes it does, I got on 5 Delta flights, large and small planes (not expanded). I specifically purchased this bag because, with wheels it meets Delta's carry-on policy, one of/if not the most stringent compared to all others airlines.

Does it stand up on its own when not holding it?

Mine never did and kept on falling till one of the real flimsy wheels totally caved in

One review stated that there is more than one size available as they are not all one size - can you specify what the sizes are by bag/color?

Common sense would dictate that if you're purchasing carryon luggage and the overall size is x,y,z, that size would be pretty close to the same dimensions for the black, white, or any other color of suitcase.
