This is a very sharp and useful tool for peeling potatoes, carrots and even getting rid of any brown lesions on celery stalks without using a knife. The handle/grip is comfortable to hold.

OXO is my go-to brand when it comes to useful kitchen items. It has disappointed me only one time (apple slicer/corer). This is a good peeler. The blade is sharp, and it is comfortable to use.

Excellent, works well, probably the best of the straight-style peelers and at a very reasonable price, so if you prefer thos style then this is the best choice for you. Its sharp, has a large handle for easy and secure grip so you can control the peeling motion accurately. Cleans up well, has a tip that you can use to dig out divots in potatoes, etc. Recommended to family and friends.

The OXO Good Grips Pro Swivel Peeler has been a surprisingly big upgrade in our kitchen. We switched from a traditional “draw” peeler to this left/right swivel style, and the difference in ergonomics is night and day. After years of using the old style, I honestly wish we had made the switch sooner. What seems like a small change in design makes peeling feel much more natural and efficient. The wrist-driven motion of this peeler is smoother and far less cumbersome than the back-and-forth dragging action we were used to. Both styles can be equally sharp and effective at actually cutting, but from a comfort and speed standpoint, this one is in a completely different league. The build quality is excellent as expected from OXO, and everything feels solid and well thought out. Overall, we’re very happy with this purchase—sometimes the simplest tools, when done right, make the biggest difference.

This is a good peeler, and the metal end for removing potato eyes is great. The handle is not too large and has a comfortable grip. This unit doesn't take too much/thick peel from the vegetables. The blade is nice and sharp, so those somewhat "aged" vegetables can still be peeled. I had some soft-ish potatoes with eyes growing of them. This tool was great at taking care of them, too.

So far Oxo seems to be one of the most consistent reliable brands out there. I have many oxo utensils & they are all great! This peeler is sharp & glides smoothly peeling away skins. It is so comfortable to hold unlike the past thin handle peelers! If you have long nails or suffer from pain in joints & hands thus is for you! I've always tried to steer clear of food needing peeling due to pain & discomfort when holding old thin flat peelers of the past until now! This has to be one of the best peelers out there. I bought a second as a back up due to sale.
